While I in general agree with the notion he's getting at. I also see the other side that why is the hobby of podcasting, painting, pottery, raising kids, or countless other things not a detriment to winning but caring about clothes and picking up chicks is a distraction and sign of not caring? For the most part his point is a classic "kids these days". But, I also respect his right to say it and I appreciate people who actually speak their mind instead of canned cliched answers. And I'd respect any younger player who commented in an adult way on their views on it. Can't have it both ways, we'll complain people won't say anything and we'll complain about they say if they do.

I mean, I guess I think it's pretty **** clear and evident that this isn't about not having any interests outside of a basketball court, but instead about being in the game for the entirely wrong reasons?

But, whatever. You do you and enjoy your eye rolls.

Oh come on, you know nobody has a problem with players enjoying their life outside the game, what kind of ridiculous strawman is that? I just think what JJ is saying is valid as I have thought this for quite some time, and he lives the experience so it just further helps back it up. Not really much else to it

Did he even specifically call out younger players? This isn't something new here. There's always been guys that cared more about the lifestyle than they did their love for basketball. Wilt Chamberlain is a guy who cared more about being in LA and in movies than he did about basketball.

Hell, Lebron literally moved to LA to become a movie producer and expand his brand. Problem is that guys like Kyle Kuzma and Ben Simmons aren't Wilt and Lebron nor do they have their work ethic, and when they'd prefer to date Kardashians and play Fortnite instead of working on their defense and jump shot, people are gonna naturally question their motivation.

Is this a tank move for MN?:
The Atlanta Hawks have acquired Jeff Teague and Treveon Graham from the Minnesota Timberwolves for Allen Crabbe.

Is this the same JJ Redick that enjoyed urinating on women for sport after banging them in college, or is this a different JJ Redick?

I know that's not "proven" but it's still funny.

Remembered when the Bucks signed Teague to that offer sheet, chuckled a bit.

I don't quite understand it for either team. Just rearranging the lottery a little maybe.

Gets me every time you post about Mike how you find a way to acknowledge the Hitler 'stache.

I'm still convinced he owed a bookie money and was forced to rock the hitler stache until he made good on his debts.

H2tObes wrote:There is unfortunate truth in Redicks comments, I've had the same thought myself. I look at a guy like Kyle Kuzma and can't take him seriously because he treats the NBA like a fashion show

I think our very own DJ Wilson has some of that in him too, don't see the passion for the game but I see the passion for fashion lol

Lots of guys have played basketball or football, just because they were blessed with elite physical prowess. This is nothing new, some guys take it to extremes to just get paid like Larry Sanders or Albert Haynesworth, some guys just don't have the self awareness to realize how special it is to be in their position.

And for some guys, they are just enjoying the ride and greatness isn't really something they are interested in, merely happy to just be there. I think DJ probably falls into the last bucket somewhat.

Surprised Jj is getting so much heat when kyrie basically tossed half his team under the bus after a loss that was mostly his own fault
