Well Drummond got ejected early in the Bulls game.

Meanwhile Sekou went from being a DNP rookie to putting up some solid averages this month, and he put up 24 against an injured Celtics (no Tatum).

Wouldn't surprise me to see the Wolves overpay for DLo out of desperation and the Warriors end up with Covington, who is a great fit with Curry, Klay and Draymond, and multiple picks to trade for someone else.

markelle fultz might not ever be a star or even avoid bust categorization given his draft position, but he looks like he's gonna be around a while at least. good for him

Best game of his career last night for sure. He is still a bust right now and still can't shoot from outside but, yeah, it's nice to see him looking like he belongs in the league at least.

What a joke. Fall has played in like 3 games all season. WTF. Caruso being 4th in the West is criminal as well. NBA All Star voting is a damn joke. Fans are idiots and then they have days where votes count double. Just the fact that you can vote as many times as you want is asinine. I hate All Star Weekend anyway. The game sucks. The dunk contest is boring. The 3 pt shootout is the only thing worth watching. I have not watched an All Star game in years and I don't even watch any of the other garbage going on either anymore. Just a waste.

Its a good thing it doesnt really matter anymore. For the leading vote getters sure. But ultimately doesnt really mean much if you arent really a top player.

The league put the weighted voting in place as a fail safe to prevent the Tacko Fall type votes. Having it a 50%, 25% coaches and 25% players ensures that. The top 2 in each conference is an automatic bid. So unless they were to get the overall top vote, you wont ever see it.

That league was so scared of Zaza nearly getting in a few years ago that they changed the rules.

As for Zach, I think he can get in, if someone is injured before the allstar break. Which seemingly happens every year.

You bet your ass I'm voting for Tacko Fall. I've seen enough of Joel Embiid.

i think there are too many guys he needs to leapfrog:

guards:

kemba
beal
simmons
kyrie
lowry
trae

brogdon
brown
dinwiddie
lavine

maximum of 6 guards will make the roster. players in bold are pretty much locks and the next three comprise the 2nd tier (kyrie only because good chance of being voted a starter). that 3rd tier of players will have a very hard time making the leap. no particular order in each tier

Wow. Pelicans win another OT game. They were just 7-23 a couple of days before Christmas. Now they are 16-26 and 9-3 in their last 12 games. With several quality wins. If they keep this up and Zion can come back and give them half a season of quality play, they could actually make some noise and maybe even make the playoffs in the West. What an amazing turn around it's like somebody flipped a switch and they were a different team all of a sudden. Brandon Ingram deserves an all star bid for sure.

Loved what they got back for AD and their draft selections. The Pels have a really good young and hungry group of guys. Ingram and Ball really want to prove something after being shipped out of LA. Jrue and JJ are great vets. NO is going to be a really fun team to watch this season and going forward.

If they can get some momentum and slide into the playoffs, no team will want to play them. My biggest concern for them is Zion, I had concerns about him before the draft and wanted Ja in large part because of those concerns. But if Zion can stay healthy... damn they’ll be something to watch.

they're 9-4 when favors plays at least half the game, including wins over jazz, rockets, clippers, nuggets and pacers. he's been out much of the season

Pelicans and Grizzlies could be a powerhouse in the West for years to come.

Bucks almost blow a 27 point lead and up just 6 late in the 4th, Giannis decides to take a 3 (missed badly) thats the kind of poor decision that can hurt you in the playoffs against a good team

The sooner he realises there’s a reason he’s open, the better for the Bucks

Anyway they’re lucky they couldn’t miss a 3 in the first half cause after that the Celtics were the better team

I’m loving what Walker is doing in Boston, would have loved him more as a Bull

I turn that game off in the third quarter and went to bed early because I thought it was hopeless for Boston. I would have been pissed if I missed a huge comeback.

The huge comeback was also Denver coming back twice and winning in OT. Granted, it was against the Warriors, but the Nugz are missing Gary Harris and Jamal Murray.

Michael Porter looked really good again. I have to admit he is already better as a player than I thought he could be. He is still a very high risk to get injured and he has been very inconsistent. He has 1 good game and then 4 or 5 weak ones... But, he is starting to play better more often. Also, he hasn't played over 20 minutes very often or in consecutive games until yesterday. Last night was his most minutes ever and he handled it well. Nugz don't win without him last night. He has now had 3 good outings in a row and played 19, 28, 29 mins. The 28 and 29 came on a back 2 back and are by far his most minutes as a pro. If he responds well, it's a big step.

Just a sad reminder that Kemba would be defending wings on the BoyBulls.
