Well that didn't take long....only took a little over two months to go from this...

What happens with the season is secondary, honestly. I can watch us lose all the time and I won't get tired of it, because every game I'll feel we'll have the chance to beat the other team..

I blush in shame when reading my post. After the horrendous offseason, JJ and Monty had me fooled for a bit.

I think I've about had it with this franchise.

though I guess some in these parts have changes of heart like that after a stretch of 2-3 games.

Always good when you can eat crow on you earlier eating crow.

MathiasPW isn't completely off though. We're competitive in most games even though we lose massive leads and let teams gain massive leads. We fight back and rarely get blown out nearly as much as we did the past few seasons. Yeah a L is a L but it's a lot closer than before and in big chunks of virtually every game we look like a competent team. The last few seasons we looked like a competent team maybe once every 8-10 games. We are giving ourselves a chance to win in almost every game and that's an important step forward from the years of mediocrity

There's real improvement on this team whether we acknowledge it or not

Well that post was more just me joking around because I was laughing at the posts.

I agree and like feeling like we can win each night, even though that makes the losses all the more frustrating. Just so much apathy from fans the last couple of years. The fact people are so mad when we lose is a good thing in a way....it shows they at least care and feel we have the talent and are close.

One of the things that I was going to notice was in games - say at the 5-6 mark, where were the Suns at. Were they within 6 points or leading. Last year, so many games were over after the first period.

So these losses, these close losses are frustrating but also a sign of improving team. Just have to learn to win.

My eat crow topic is Diallo. I thought he could break out and become a viable full time pf for us. He is less mobile and more stiffish (yeah I know stiffish is not a word) than i thought he would be and not as flat out athletic as I thought. He is more C than pf than i thought.

I like Diallo. I feel bad for guys down the bench, who if they got minutes in the G-League, they would be lighting things up, but they are just getting 1-2 minutes in blowout games, or sit as a "just in case".

Its a long season. I bet Diallo will get his chance to show what he can do.

I'd gladly dine on some Bahamian Humble Pie.... but I need a full slice, not these bitesized nuggets every 2 weeks.

I'll eat some crow on Tyler Johnson. Figured he could give them a respectable 15-20 mins a night. I like Tyler buts he's been bad when called upon this year.

I'll eat crow on Ayton too. I didn't think his defense would look even respectably any time soon but he's passed the eye test and the advance stats back it up

Well I am glad we are waiting, because we are winning so many games.

My crow would be thinking Monty would make better choices on player rotation. I really thought he would capitalize on the energy we had at the start of the season.

It's kind of backwards to say that fans here got excited too early when we were winning at full and near full strength , and then bust out a "hate to say I told you so" when we're suffering major injuries. I'd say our team without major injuries / missing key players , is a better indicator of our team's strength than the stretch of games where we were playing without 3 of our 4 best players.

We have been at full or near full strength lately and still been losing quite a bit in embarrassing fashion to other teams that are actually depleted by injuries.

We've had some bad losses but also some quality wins since the team started getting back to being healthy. At this pace we should continue to be in the playoff race as well as possibly double our win total from last year. Our schedule has been a bit easier but that the Suns are 7-6 since Ayton returned, which is pretty solid 13 game stretch for a team that hasn't played together much all year. As a reminder we were on an 8 game losing streak when we were short handed.

I'm usually as pesimistic as anyone on these boards, I fail to see the 'hate to say i told you so here.
