Are we sure Edwards is elite?

no. there's no surefire prospect in this draft that i can tell. but i think he's the one who they'll guess has the best chance. i think most teams would guess that unless they want a big. the knicks are too desperate for guards who can create for themselves to take wiseman.

i'm not sure that's the right pick but i think it's just the obvious pick to make and the knicks will do that.

He is in BKNY and he is already like this...I somehow doubt he can handle the vicious NY media. He is going to have a meltdown.

The Dallas picks will be in the 20's so they aren't that valuable. RJ is the talent it would take to get a player like Beal. More than anything, LaMelo and RJ probably wouldn't play off each other well.

No way of knowing that. KP is chronically injured and who knows what could happen with injuries. Even a super team like the warriors can be in the finals one year and last place the next.

I would rather keep RJ instead of trying to rush the rebuild by trading for Beal who really isn’t even a difference maker.

Also, fun fact
3pt%
Beal: 30.9%
RJ: 32.9%

Volume matters. Beal is historically good from 3

I think same thing with Kevin Love. Secure the money now then worry about the other things later.

The volume makes it even scarier to me (30.9% on 7.9 attempts a game) because low efficiency volume shooting isn’t something I believe leads to success. And his percentages have been steadily going down for the past 3 years now so I’m not even sure if it’s just a statistical anomaly either. He was once a really good shooter but now I have some doubts about that.

Now I know you might ask “well why do you want to draft lamelo then” because as you know he also shot an even lower percentage on high volume. I guess I just have more belief in his ability to improve since he’s so young and also believe he brings a lot more to the table with his playmaking skills.

And I think with RJ shooting 32.9% from 3 as a 19 y/o rookie, as long as he has the work ethic to continue to improve he could get it up a couple more percentage points and the fit won’t even be that big of an issue. He’s just too talented to give up on already imo. We could literally be giving up an amazing young talent for a vet that doesn’t move the needle at all. Not to mention all the picks.
