Bradley Beal: Wizards Need To Start Winning, Changing The Culture

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jan 17, 2020 10:52 pm

Bradley Beal voiced his frustrations with the Washington Wizards' 13-27 season following a 115-106 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

"I don't like losing, I'm sorry," Beal said. "Especially winnable games."

The game was Beal's second one back from a leg injury.

"I would hope it does," he said when asked if the losing builds up. "I don't like losing so it's going to keep blowing up for me... Until we start winning and changing our culture."

Beal was asked what exactly would change the culture.

"Winning games," he said. "Get that winning attitude and winning habits."

Washington is 13-27 overall through 40 games.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bealbr01/splits/2020

With Bradley Beal: (See Beal's splits above) 9-24

(0.273 wins, or about 19-63 through 82 games)

Without Bradley Beal: (The remaining 7 games with Beal injured) 4-3

(0.571 wins, or roughly 23-17 through 40 and 46-36 through 82 games)

If you're a stat geek, check the defensive ratings, point differentials, opponent field goal percentages and rebounding. Seems like Scott Brooks can win games without stars.
Bye bye Beal.

As a Wizards fan I think Beal's definitely a good player but maybe he's a guy they should trade.
Bye bye Beal.

I admire Beal for trying to be like Lilliard and committing to DC despite the lure of free agency, but you cannot then go ahead and make comments like this.

“Changing the culture,” in my opinion, is a direct attack on his head coach. You knew what this situation was Bradley, and you still chose to stay. Now nut up or shut up!
