I was reviewing the Packers' end of the season, and Rodger's performance specifically. As I mentioned yesterday, the Packers are 6-0 since they lost badly to us, but those wins came against lesser opponents (Vikings and Bears were the only semi-competent teams they played). Rodgers' performance over the back end of the season is also striking, though.

In the final eight games of the regular season, Rodgers only threw nine TDs, and four of those came against the Giants. He averaged just 210 YPG, despite 323 yards against Detroit. If you take away his best TD and yardage games (I realize that's not really fair to do, but what the hell), he averaged 193 yards and 0.7 TDs a game. He was also sacked 19 times in those eight games, though that's more or less in keeping with his season average (36 sacks in 16 games). Adams played in all those games, though he likely wasn't 100% in the first few.

Part of that fall in production may be accounted for by the success of the running game, but the drop is also pronounced in terms of his QBR, which doesn't reward the pure stats as much as rating. By that measure, he only cracked 45 against the Giants (85.7). For comparison, Jimmy cracked 45 in five of eight games and had three games in the 70s and 80s.

It's Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, so we absolutely cannot take anything for granted. And it looks like their D (and especially their pass rush) really benefited from the bye as ours did, I just found it pretty interesting. Really excited for this game.

I remember when he came out of college, I liked him a lot. Thought that he would have been another elite 3-4 end in the mold of Chris Jones:

Ra'Shede Hageman
DL, Unsigned Free Agent

Falcons waived DT Ra'Shede Hageman from injured reserve.

Hageman, who began the year serving a two-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy, reverted to injured reserve after going unclaimed off waivers in mid-September. He spent two years out of the league following a domestic violence arrest in 2016, though those charges were later dropped. Along with Hageman, the Falcons also waived tight end Alex Gray, a former rugby player who had spent the previous two years on Atlanta's practice squad.

Uh-oh. Doesn't sound serious, but you'd really like our most important offensive player to be fully healthy going into the biggest game of his career. I think we're going to need a big day out of Kittle.

I feel like we are getting more and more confident. I really hope we don't overlook the Packers at all, I am getting more and more nervous every day.

Kittle better play damn it

Bulaga missed most of the game last time. He’s going to be back.

We can't overlook them. We're a better team, but we were better than the Giants in 2011 and it didn't get us anywhere. They have the better QB and more experience. They're very dangerous. We need to step on the gas and keep it down from whistle to whistle.

GEORGE KITTLE
TE, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

49ers TE George Kittle wasn't listed on the team's final injury report.

Kittle practiced in full on Thursday and Friday. He's good to go for the 49ers' NFC Championship matchup against the Packers. Kittle is already redefining what the modern TE is capable of achieving, as he set PFF's 10-year record for most yards per route run in 2019 with 3.1. The Packers ranked just 23rd in explosive pass-play rate allowed this season, while the 49ers created big plays in the passing game at the league's single-highest rate.

KWON ALEXANDER
LB, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

49ers LB Kwon Alexander (pectoral) wasn't listed on the team's final injury report.

Alexander is good to go for the 49ers' NFC Championship matchup against the Packers. He'll be needed more than ever this week considering how dangerous Aaron Jones has been all season as a pass catcher. Kudos to coach Matt LaFleur for featuring Jones (84% snap rate) well ahead of Jamaal Williams (14%) and Tyler Ervin (11%) last week. Still, the 49ers boast the type of freaky-athletic LBs in Alexander (PFF's No. 9 LB in coverage) and Fred Warner (No. 11) to force Aaron Rodgers to have to work outside the numbers.

DEE FORD
DL, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

49ers DL Dee Ford (hamstring) wasn't listed on the teams' final injury report.

He's good to go for the 49ers' NFC Championship matchup against the Packers. The 49ers defensive line boasts an embarrassment of riches when it comes to top-tier pass rushers. Each of DeForest Buckner (No. 10), Dee Ford (No. 3), Nick Bosa (No. 6) and Arik Armstead (No. 29) received favorable rankings at their respective positions from PFF when it came to pass-rushing productivity this season.
