Another good showing from Ayton. Did not shoot the ball well but was aggressive getting to the line.

Helped the Suns upset the Celtics and was a plus 18.

Nice Steve Mills impression

There has never been one post where someone wished THJ was still on the team. This is a desperation heave

Sure is enough fawning over his game.

He's just not that good. He's a replacement level NBA player, who is overpaid.

At least another team is smart enough to have it's coach limit his game

Observations aren’t fawning. Look who made the observation. If you think KG is fawning over THJ, you’re crazy.

If he said the same thing about a guy who didn’t play here, no one would care. If he trashed a guy who played here, no one would care and he’d be applauded. But say something positive about a former player and

Yeah, not sure why history is being changed.

Doncic was highly coveted for like 2 years before he was even eligible for the draft.

He wasn’t taken first or even highly considered for it. Which means he was undervalued.

What’s the point of examining this or that yarn of tanking when the whole tapestry has holes and is randomly stitched together?

We didn’t tank properly is a fallacy — if all teams in the hunt tanked properly, then what makes you think we’d win the tank?

Second, Luka was not scouted as a dominant player. He was thought of as a very good prospect and now he’s generational. That’s a big gap.

But, to those who loved him, kudos to you seriously. The teams didn’t scout him that way though ... that’s not revisionist, we have the actual draft lol!

... Ingram just choked.

Not true. Everyone thought the suns were taking him since they hired his national team coach. The Suns felt like they had the luxury of choosing Ayton having booker, and knowing that Ayton had a **** ton of upside. Vlade made the wrong call for some reason or another. the Hawks lucked on him and decided to get fancy with it.

It would be interesting to see if the knicks could have moved up for Doncic by trading KP. A different more forward thinking front office would have taken that chance.

I think Kokoskov wanted to take Doncic but had no say in it. He was flat out asked about it in interviews after Suns fired him and he refused to comment on it.

And 2 blocks! Ayton gonna be a big time star. Ayton can really be a 25/15 guy every night with great defense. That’s why you can’t blame the Suns for taking him #1. This duo is gonna be nasty as hell

Also I think Oubre should come off the bench. Ayton is getting much more touches without him out there and Mikal allows for more defense in the lineup. Oubre would be best used as a 6th man and torch benches.

Suns are now 7-3 when Rubio-Booker-Ayton plays together. Scary if Ayton didn’t get suspended and injured.

Yeah Ayton playing great. Good for him.

With Timmy it’s not really true to say Carlisle figured out how to use him. They have Luka so lesser players can take and fulfill manageable loads.

Tim/Timmy/Tam/Tammy came in for a lot of criticism last year. I certainly tee-ed off plenty, arguably too much, particularly in game threads. A reasonable amount of it was however justified. Specifically, the no-D and point-finger at teammates stuff happened far too often. The looking off teammates and simply chucking was also hard to take.

However, the unpleasantness of this was multiplied an unconscionable amount by the coaching/role that it was demanded he played. In Dallas he still never looks to pass, but his attitude on D is better (not saying he is more effective, but the blame-shifting stuff has disappeared) and for the shooting he's often an open outlet for Luka, so it's much more bearable.

I think they get in, especially if OKC liquidates. Would be great if MEM or SAC gets #8. I love seeing teams get rewarded for embracing a youth movement.

Cuban says KP is okay and making a lot of progress. Sounds like Tuesday night’s game is likely.

So, Royce O'Neale on a 4 year / 36 million dollar deal while averaging 6.2 ppg and 5 rpg in 30 mpg. I don't know his game well enough but this move seems positively received due his 3D capabilities (shooting 44% from 3 point range) despite being an undersized small forward. It's amazing that there seems to be so much value in a high three point shooting percentage.

Marcus Morris, by the way, is shooting 46% from 3 point range (third in the NBA) with our next best shooter being Bobby Portis at 36% (81st in the NBA). That's got to be worth something today.

A rule of thumb is always to give them 3 full years.
