McCaw is just being used to eat screens so FVV and Lowry don't have to. That's by far the biggest workload they have to deal with in the regular season. Lowry can barely even do it anymore. Small chance McCaw develops his game in the meantime.

Keep polishing that turd Nick

the bench unit built up that lead big time. he wanted them to close it out. it's on them. if he brought back the starters y'all would be complaining about that too.

Except he did bring in the starters, after mccaw committed a foul on made 3. And still left in McCaw with the starters.

Also portland was the same. Charlotte almost too. It's becoming a thing

This McCaw at the point, is the biggest red-herring of all red-herrings. I don't know what the red-herring is for, but it's amazing.

He played perfectly into the role too, almost singlehandedly helping the Hawks make a comeback.

About Siakam, I actually thought this was his best game since returning. He didn't connect from downtown but he was able to get to the line and was active on defence.

I really hope this is all just to "showcase" McCaw for a trade.

Fred is 100% playing for a big contract and going away from the team game to achieve it.

Just finished watching without knowing the outcome. I’ve never been more pissed after a win.

McCaw and RHJ tried desperately to throw this game away. Sickening

When we finally clicked (better to say when Norm finally showed up) it was nice too see but collapse at the end was very embarrassing.

Agreed. I don’t like it. Most people here seem to love Freddy but I’m not buying it. Shoot first 6 foot guards should come off the bench. I recall at least 5 times he stopped the ball from humming and didn’t pass to the corner. He almost cancel’s our what Marc brings us.

More power to Vince for playing until age 43, but his time has come. He's awful out there.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Ah man, could only watch a bit of the game. Norm took over! Those highlights were so sweet, the bench was going crazy.

The NBA schedule should make sure the Raps don't play an afternoon game on MLK day, makes no damn sense.
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

First ballot HOF...for what? No way. He has had a long career...but outside of a few flashy dunks, winning the dunk contest and making the NBA acknowledge Canada...he has actually done nothing worth being voted in on first ballot.

I don't think anything the bench did should be undersold. They played great. But after about 13 minutes straight ran out of steam. Nurse was just trying to get it to garbage time with the starters staying out.

If it was closer, the starters come back in and we still win.

Good game, bench was great, and Powell really leading them in scoring over and over helps so much.

One of the worst sights was seeing him do those back and lateral steps as he was retreating defensively. It was brutal. His knees clearly can't take it no more. His role on the Hawks seems to be the guy with experience who can influence refs from the bench.

Just go and spend time time with your family man, Jesus. You have nothing to prove anymore especially not in a franchise like Atlanta.

In the last four minutes of the game, there were 6 turnovers by the Raptors - 1 by McCaw, 1 by Davis, 1 by Siakam, and 3 by Norm. There's a lot of blame to go around for that stretch of play.

How about the times he got burned by Trae and then fouled him on the 3? No one is blaming him for his offensive woes. Everyone is just astounded, rightly so, that he's being used as some sort of defensive wizard around whom you can shuffle your lineup around while he ain't that.

In McCaw's defense, Trae burns everyone. like Curry. Curry has made everyone look stupid and Trae has that ability. its not the fault of McCaw tbh, don't think Lowry or FVV could do it either.

If he's that bad, why would McCaw be guarding Trey all game. And why would the Hawks have Trey try to switch off him? Why didn't they just iso trey all the time. Is everyone stupid and sleeping with Nurse?

And Trey is probably the fastest guard in the league. If anyone thinks they're stopping him, you're wrong.

And lol... McCaw didn't choke that lead away. They were just done after too many minutes, and it didn't even matter. We still won and it only took 2 starter minutes to close out.
