why? their roster is good. Cp3 is still a beast, SGA is the real deal, Gallo & Adams are very good players, schröder is one of the best bench scorers in the league.
Clearly they're all playing well - but who would've thought that after each of their respective seasons last year. Even Gallo has hardly missed any games - he just might end up playing the most games since his Knicks days. Just about everyone except maybe Steven Adam is outplaying expectations. Heck, even Billy Donovan looked like he was about to be fired a year ago and now he's probably in the running for coach of the year.
Absolutely one of the major NBA stories this year. Not just because they’re winning but because they’ve helped SGA become an All Star or AS level player.
As a Knick fan it’s frustrating to see a franchise find the winning combination of veterans to help its youth succeed.
Not shockingly it starts with a top flight veteran PG and reliable frontcourt shooters/defenders. SGA would have been forced into the PG role as a Knick, probably battling for time alongside 3 other mediocre PGs.
As if we need another reminder of how idiotic it is to build a team of veteran PFs around Julius Randle, especially when your last two lotto picks both play forward.
