I know many would view that as more of a luxury pick but with the offense MLF wants to run he looks like great fit and allows a rotation of dynamic backs while not putting the Packers in a position where theyll feel forced to pay a RB huge money

Maybe if he slipped to our second pick but 30 is too high with as many needs as we have. Biadasz is the Badger I could see us grabbing at 30 given Linsley’s status. Love Cephus and i think whoever grabs him gets a good value. Reminds me a lot of Davante. Baun had a big year but I just don’t think he has the natural athleticism to translate at the next level.

Yeah he puts in detailed work. But Z has one bad day at the office and Bob throws out 'front runner' and implies his injuries were 'drama'. It's that kind of stuff that he loves to do that enduces some eye rolls from me.

I do think 7 times having medical take you off the field and come back the next play is somewhat dramatic :)

Packers re-sign 10 guys from the practice squad:
https://www.packers.com/news/packers-sign-10-free-agents-2020
The Green Bay Packers signed TE Evan Baylis, T Cody Conway, RB Damarea Crockett (DUH-marr-ee-aye), CB Kabion Ento (kay-be-on N-toe), TE James Looney, LB Randy Ramsey, WR Darrius Shepherd, WR Malik Taylor, QB Manny Wilkins and LB Tim Williams. The transactions were announced Tuesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

All of the players finished the season on the Packers' practice squad.

Packers holes aren't as glaring as last year. They fixed the pass rush in the off season now fix the middle lb corps.

Offensively keep Bulaga and hope he takes a discount. Cut lane Taylor and Graham.

Find a tight end, #2 wr via free agency. They need impact starters at those positions.

Draft bpa - wr is stacked so. It's probably a wr but wouldn't mind dl, OT, MLB.

Packers have almost 45 mil (if they cut Graham and lane Taylor). Could get to 53 if they cut linsley if they really want to make a splash.

They have options. Will be an interesting off season.

Still need a stud TE, another breakout WR, more speed, an every down MLB, more pass rushers, better run stoppers, deeper corners etc...

The mind set of thinking we were just 1 win away from the big game is insane. This team had everything working for it BUT overall talent. Health and luck were are 2 biggest keys to success. We caught quite a few teams missing key pieces to their teams when we played them. Mahomes and Cook most notably.

We need to continue to overhaul like last year. Spend as big as possible and hit on more picks like Savage and Jenkins.

As others have said we could be better next year and win less games. In fact I expect that. And I"m fine with that. I'll take 10-6 or 11-5 and a stronger team going into the playoffs.

Think we should consider becoming more of a power running team (especially to close games), so I'd invest in what it would take to do so.

I think the good news is that I don’t see Gute as someone who will so stubbornly ignore a position like ILB like TT did. TT had a philosophy and stuck to it and I think Gute will be more aggressive in making adjustments and plugging holes.

Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper available. Neither are Pro Bowl level but they’re young, talented, and productive.
Edit, looks like Hooper is going to the pro bowl.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement. I typically don't like overreacting to one game with stuff like this but man that was one BAD game. If they do make a move it should be for someone who runs a somewhat similar scheme. I don't think they really have the runway with Rodgers window to try to revamp an entire D system which typically includes a bunch of personel turnover.

I'm surprised so many aren't considering Sternberger as that young TE you all want. Maybe I'm over-hyping the guy but I think he could be a stud in this league. He already showed towards the end of the season that he can run block, and he's got soft hands as a pass catcher. We probably do need more depth behind him if Graham and Lewis are officially done/gone, but I think he'll be TE1 coming out of camp.

Agreed. I believe he came in with a reputation as a pass catcher who couldn't block, but it sure seemed he was in on a lot of nice running plays once he returned from injury. If he can get more opportunities in the passing game, I think he could be a real nice all-around TE.

Shanahan completely ate Pettine's lunch. Knew exactly what Pettine ran from their Browns days.

Remember this clip? Speaks volumes.

What that tells me is exactly what I thought when it happened: it wasn't a route/play designed to get a completion, it was a play designed to draw a flag.

He did. And Shanahan is one of the best play callers/coaches in the league. Our offense put our defense in a ton of tough spots this year, but for all the talent on that side of the ball we needed to be better than just mediocre in the regular season, and putrid in the postseason. I'd be fine with not re-upping Pettine.
