TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Detroit Pistons have agreed to trade Tim Hardaway Jr., a 2021 2nd round draft pick (From Cleveland) and a 2022 2nd round draft pick (From Portland) to the Oklahoma City Thunder and a 2020 1st round draft pick* (From the Clippers) to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Robert Covington, Luguentz Dort, Henry Ellenson and a 2020 1st round draft pick** (From Oklahoma City).

The Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to trade Robert Covington and a 2020 1st round draft pick** to the Detroit Pistons and Wesley Matthews to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Tim Hardaway Jr., Justise Winslow, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, a 2021 2nd round draft pick (From Cleveland) and a 2022 2nd round draft pick (From Portland).

The Sacramento Kings have agreed to trade Justise Winslow and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk to the Oklahoma City Thunder and Luguentz Dort and Henry Ellenson to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Wesley Matthews and a 2020 1st round draft pick* (From the Clippers).

*- Sacramento gets the Clippers 2020 1st round pick if it is 11-30. If it is top 10, then the Clippers keep the pick, Detroit gets the Clippers 2021 1st unprotected and the Kings get the Bulls 2021 1st round pick (lottery protected). If the Bulls pick lands in the lottery then the Kings get no pick.

**- Detroit gets Oklahoma City's 2020 1st (lottery protected). If this pick is not conveyed then Detroit gets OKC's 2021 1st (lottery protected). If this pick is not conveyed then Detroit gets no pick.

After Hezi moved Vucevic to Hoffa, he made it known he was likely entering a re-tooling stage. Once he hit me up about Simons, i knew this move may be something he’d consider, so I took my shot. I understood what HEZI was trying to accomplish, and I provided the solution. HEZI got another tradable asset in Conley on an expiring in 3 months (saving him a year on Kemba’s contract), a cost-controller promising prospect in Simons and an expiring Thad (opens up another $38 for this free agency).

While it may look light in terms of value, it aligned perfectly with Hezi’s vision. I just happened to be the benefactor for recognizing the opportunity.
