For what it’s worth I think trading Oubre during the season would be a bad look. It would kind of kill any spirit that the team may have left, and he wouldn’t return anyone who’s getting us into the playoffs so whats the point. I’d be okay moving him in the Summer though, for say Aaron Gordon if the option presented itself (yes I’ll continue to bring up AG).

Yeah, I think most of these trades tossed around on the last couple of pages should be proposed on the trade board so non biased fans can weigh in on whether or not the value is right going both ways.

Maybe I'm wrong and those who think the Bulls would take these packages are completely right....but they appear to be way off, so that road should be tried.

Yeah. Im reading these trades and I'd think they'd want KO or Bridges included in any trade for Lauri. That makes sense as they'd want another guy w/ some potential to match up w/ Lavine.

So maybe Cam, KO, and a pick for Lauri and Felicio. I'd even give them Saric as well if they insisted since he'd be redundant w/ Lauri here.

Contend for a playoff spot? Outside of about the first 7 games, we haven't beaten anyone good, unless you could the Kemba/Brown-less Celtics. We have beaten 5 or 6 teams by double digits but no good ones, and only 2 since Nov 14th (Minnesota and NY). Any other wins have been very close. We have gotten beaten badly quite a bit, even by bad teams like the Kings, Hawks and Grizzlies, even though in some games we close the gap a bit down the stretch to make it look closer. I guess we almost came back against SA last game, but were down 20+ at one point I think...pretty late, like late 3rd.

After the first 7 or 8 games, crushing the Kings, beating the Clips and Sixers and losing by 1 in OT to the Nuggets on a b2b and by 1 to Utah, yes, I thought we could contend, and even when we were 7-4, because we had gone 2-2 after being 5-2, but lost to the LAL and Miami and beat the Nets and Hawks badly...but that Hawks win was Nov 14th which I mentioned before. Since then, all downhill.

What is interesting is, the very next game after that Nov 14th game is when Baynes got his hip contusion, against Boston, and he was out and we went downhill, and I think we brought him back too soon.

I know some thinks Baynes is not any good, but I don't think this is at all a coincidence, and that he made a big difference talking to people on the court, being fully healthy, playing physical, setting hard screens, playing with confidence, but ever since that injury his hip just never got completely right which is now obvious since he is out because of hip soreness.

It's too bad, though even had he stayed healthy I don't know how much it would have helped our long term future, but it seems our team played right more often with him healthy and around and he had huge impact on total team play.

You can see the schedule and trend here... https://www.espn.com/nba/team/schedule/_/name/phx

I like Baynes but do you want to keep him? His shooting fell off a cliff and he’s not a rim protector. I wouldn’t want him for more than he makes now tbh. A late first might net us Nnaji or another big with upside.

If he can get healthy, yes. Had he stayed healthy I think this team would have done a lot better over the last 30+ games. As for next season, it depends on the options and how much he would make. He's also been out the last two games and even then it seems to make a difference. I think the hip impacted his shooting, but even his presence and vocal direction on the floor helps the team.

We need mostly to nail draft picks. A nice trade would help. I don't know that trading him for this season would net us much and he might not even pass a physical from the other team.

That's a lot to give up and I still don't think they'd do it. But not sure how much Felicio makes and how long they have to pay him. I think they view him as a cornerstone though, regardless of how much some fans are down on him, which, frankly is a little weird because his stats haven't really dropped off....at least not that much. TS% better, defense better, just a little down on boards, but they also added Wendell Carter who was out a lot of last year so not sure if that's particularly relevant.

The main reason I mentioned him, although I think he has much improved from last year, despite looking awful tonight and really not being the best team player, is because, besides him probably having the most value, it would show the team that no one is untouchable and that people need to play the game the right way within the game plan. It might give the team a jolt. But yes, that could work in the offseason as well. I would probably trade him for Bogdanovic though right now if we could get salaries to work.

You don't irate me with your excessively homeristic pipings, you just reaffirm your refusal to construct a deal from the other side of the fence. If you think Im a meanie, try spreading some of your manure on the big trade board. I got nothing for you if my responses fall short of your diplomatic desires. Its the internet ferchristsakes....And you are the resident trade machine junkie. Im the cranky old man. Im not sure what kind of 'learning experience' you are seeking with this avalanche of ideas....when 90% of them are headshakers. And just because you drop a small essay with every deal, it doesn't require the same in rebut. Most could be summed up as 'Why would insert team here do that? But hey, you're right, its a forum to express ideas and thoughts. So I guess keep thinking and posting. I'll snide less until more is needed, but you'll still remain affectionately, the G of DeKleine.

Furthermore, Ive posted trades, just not with the frequency of a chirping bird. I don't wildass them because there are only a few that we may able to actually make, and they have been discussed thoroughly. TJo, picks, and trash only yields so much in return. I don't think the FO would trade Bridges or CJohnson, and doubt OObre's value. But hey, get on it and blow this team up. They are F-n heartless some (too many) nights.

Lol..... if you say so, But that's cool man. I'm glad that I don't irritate you, As that's not my intention at all. And as I've said, I don't want you to change who you are, I actually enjoy the sarcastic quips that you bring to the forum at times, As it spices things up some. But please also trust that when pushed or chastised, I won't change any time soon either, Or reduce my interest in potential roster improvements until we actually improve and regain relevance. Much to the shegrin of many on here, I'm very passionate about our teams' improvement. So, I guess we'll unfortunately just have to see each other as we do for now. :-?

As for the trades, I don't expect everyone to be able to see or share my perspective of the potential value involved, or the reasoning behind my proposals. Most don't catch up and see it till later anyways. And in reference to "learning on here". I'm merely interested in hearing everyone's varying perspectives. Whether they be purely oppositional or agreeable. And from that, " learning " about their individual preferences, proclivities and vision for our team. I just find it interesting. 8-) But I'vealso found that perception of value is dependent upon an individuals narrative and as a result, often circumstantial. So diplomatic or not, I for my part try to remain constructive and respectful. That's just my preference. But of course feel free to respond as you see fit.

In truth, I'm not overtly moved by random flattery or criticism either way. Now, As for viewing other teams perspective from " the other side of the fence" I do try to look at it from both sides as much as possible for someone who doesn't follow all other teams constantly and intrinsically. And honestly do try to create equal value. But in fairness, it can be somewhat difficult when every team's fans have a tendency to overvalue their own players, in order to " win the trade " and vice versa. And in so doing, the accuracy of players actual value in trades oftengets skewed. But for all my varying trade proposals, whether it's found agreeable or not, I honestly do try to give equal value depending upon respective situations and current rumors of potential team interests. Also, With respect to 90% of my ideas apparently being head shakers. Again, that's your opinion, And your absolutely entitled to it ( varying opinions  ). But take comfort in knowing that what may be difficult for some to comprehend and digest, is not difficult for others. Again, it's subjective to your individual preferences, Narratives and vision for the team.

Also, I appreciate that you think of me affectionately man. Just as I do you for your timely and heartfelt responses. 8-) Despite our vastly varying opinions and views of avenues for improvement of this team. And with respect to posting trades with the frequency of a chirping bird, That's of course fine. Post trades at your leisure, Or don't post them. Again, we both do what we do. For my part, I'm anxious to find a solution for this team. Wildassing it or not.

Lastly, I agree with you in that quite a few ideas have been constantly recycled here. I also agree that our current assets suck, And furthermore I don't have much faith in the front office from what they've shown so far either. But I don't need to tell you that over the last 10+ years, Being a suns fan is like an exercise in self masochism.

So in that fustration and depressive state, Of course many fans, Myself included obviously will be looking for solutions to end the misery. So, again, I'm sorry ( maybe a little)? :dontknow: for my enthusiasm in trade proposals. But it's just more or less my way of distraction from the overall disappointment of our team. And for what it's worth, I honestly don't want to blow up the team. I just want to try and add better quality veteran depth however possible to help our young team mature faster, become competitive and hopefully show some tenacity and backbone for a change. But for now, it is what it is man. :D

It's kinda amazing I'm really hoping that their FO agrees. A lot of the the complaints I seem to be reading is that he's too passive, coaching staff has ruined him and that they might be better cutting their losses and selling b4 his value drops. Same stuff ppl said about our young guys. I don't wanna trade Oubre as he seems to get along w/ Book and Ayton but if we can fill that 4 spot w/a rangy 7 footer then...
