I don't think the league has ever seen that combination of strength, speed, hops before. And he's incredibly skilled at such a young age already. Hopefully he could stay healthy and avg 60+ games per season. Would be huge for the NBA.

my feeling is he won't unfortunately. he's built like a power lifter and running and jumping like russel westbrook. it's just beyond the human body's capabilities. it's some marvel comics sh*t.

The closest I can think of is a young Karl Malone. He was built similarly and just powerful jumps. But Zion is stouter and hoppier still. I am worried for him.

Never seen a fat guy move that fast.
Eddy Curry and Oliver Miller both had very quick feet. Probably so they can get to the front of the buffet line but still...

Shawn Kemp?
Still, Zion is a physically larger guy.

Shawn Kemp.
Explosive and physically and athletically dominating the league from the get go. Also, kind of big relative to the guys he was playing against, but nothing like the size Zion is.

So, basically, you think it'll be a Bo Jackson situation, where 99% of the body is going one way, but 1% just breaks under the sheer force of it all?

Rodney Roger's comes to mind, when he first came in. Also Derrick Coleman.

I always thought Blake was a good comp. for him but Zion was obviously bigger coming out and a little more refined skills wise.
Blake couldn't stay healthy but was a legit MVP candidate when he was. I hope Zion can buck that trend. He's special. Best prospect since Lebron IMO.

If Zion stays healthy then he will be good for a while. Same thing with Porter Jr. MPJ was playing pretty well and his back just started to act up again. I don't want to sound negative or like a hater but I think Zion will be in the same fate as MPJ. Will look good and then will get hurt again. It sucks cause Zion is pretty fun to watch.

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

No way on Coleman. Coleman was pudgy.
Rodney Rogers is a terrific comparison.. of course minus the athleticism.
