Ah yes, going through the initial reactions just goes to show - few people with strong reactive opinions in this forum have a CLUE what they're talking about.

cuz masai fed that fool that smoke and managed to draft the #1 player in the draft in Siakam at 27.

Raps got a top 3 talent at 27. That's how you build championship teams.

is there a way to search the thread? I’d be interested to see what I wrote back on draft day

Some people don't believe it just yet, but I think we are going to be happy with the way this draft turned out a couple years down the road. Masai has drafted players with the right attitude and work ethic the last couple of years. I think that both Poeltl and Siakam are going to be serviceable players for us - If they can play D, Casey will give them minutes - Just given our lack of depth at the PF, they should get their chance.

His attitude is why Masai would never even think about drafting him. Some players develop it through the circumstances of their environment, others like Chriss carry it around with them wherever they go.

I was wise not to comment. I will never doubt anything Masai does. Never have, never will.
In Masai We Trust

Based on my expert analysis of watching one of his youtube clips, he reminds me of Quincy Acy.
The people that know Paskal Siakam, and didn't go WTF when his name was announced, really like him for what it's worth. Just reading his profile he's one of those late bloomers that started playing basketball at an older age. The upside is that the sport he played before basketball was soccer. No idea how he'll pan out, but we'll see what he can do in the D-League.
Thank you. Pascal is tall, long PF who can guard the perimeter, block shots and will eventually be a shooter. We still need some outside shooting but he's a perfect guy for our system and he doesn't have to operate in the same space as JV.
Thanks for showing how to find comments in a thread. I was worried I thought he would suck.
Ska needs to make a comeback.

Masai doesn't look just at stat's and measurements. He look's at back story's of player's and how their story can motivate them to exceed expectations. It's common to Pascal, Norm, Freddy and TDII. OG has it too and it will kick in. Kyle has it and amazing BBIQ. Most of our team seem's cut from the same cloth.
