They played well for a stretch of games but the defensive statistics may be a red flag for next year.

Really high FG % by opposing teams.

Klay will help with that next season but is he going to be enough for what is a poor defending roster by himself?

There's a good chance they won't be able to trade Dlo and get better defenders back.

Even with such a trade, it may not be enough to change the overall defensive character of the team.

Besides wings, this roster lacks shot blockers.

If the team is going to return to being contenders next year, they may have to do it by winning games 130-120.

Trade Burcs, WCS, G3 for assets this year with the promise try to sign them with part of MLE with a pay bump if they come back to play with Curry, Klay etc.

Looney got sent out by me to get under luxury

Builds team cohesion.
Only addition 1st Rd pick.
TPE player.

PG Curry, Bowman (Evans??)
SG DLo Burcs Lewis Poole
C Wiseman or (TPE player?)Spellman Criss
SF Klay Iggy Paschall (TPE ?) G3
PF Green Smilagic

Hopefully DLO+ for Simmons future picks or other star trade.

Pg curry dlo
Sg Thompson ?
Sf Iguodala paschall
Pf green ?
C looney Spellman ?

Definitely need one more big bruiser center
Bench SG and PF should be Defensive specialist who are average shooters or above, vets preferable
Third string should be specialists with specific skills

Starters don’t have to play the bulk of the minutes
Bench should be able hold own against starter level opponents

Unless there's an all-star level player coming back in DLO trade or there are young assets/picks that you can flip for an all-star you're better off holding on to him. The Covington package isn't going anywhere. This team is better than it's record indicates. Assuming the top 3 pick is James Wiseman.

Myers will have more flexibility than last year with the 17M TPE
Seen a poster suggest a couple that I think could work:
TPE for Satoransky and Hutchinson

Starters:
S.Curry
D.Russell
K.Thompson
D.Green
J.Wiseman

Bench (Not all these guys will be on the roster. Some tough decisions for Bob, but an overall list of options:)
A.Iguodala
T. Satoransky
C.Hutchinson
E. Paschall
K. Looney
O. Spellman
D. Lee
A. Burks
J. Evans
J. Poole
A. Smailagic

If they decide to move on from DLO. I have heard varying opinions on this but a DLO+ trade for Ben Simmons would be interesting.
Ben Simmons with Steph+KLay would be interesting.

Lee has looked like **** since signing his deal.

He's shooting 40/34/88 and is 41/33.5/86 for his career.

Why did they feel the need to keep this guy?

He's been missing wide open looks.

lol i was just thinking the same thing... did we all get duped by Lee having a really good couple weeks?

To be honest though it really didn't do anything... swapped 2way with Chriss... still will have options to keep ky/chriss/lee next year if we want to.

Lee should not be a starter on an average NBA team. Lee should not be the 1st or 2nd option.

Other than that I am fine keeping Lee for 2 more yeas as the 12th man. Cut him loose when he turns 30 or when we need the roster spot for somebody with a brighter future. Of the guys currently playing only Draymond's no has been with the Warriors longer than Lee. The player turnover is crazy.

Also, don't piss off Sydel unless you have a good reason to piss her off. We want first dibs on any son she might have. Long term planning.

Steph already has a son.

Though Ayesha's genes may not be conducive to tall players with length.

Paschall, Mulder, Loones...Other than that I would be fine with moving any of the rest for upgrades.

2nd tier: Wiggins, Chriss, Looney, Paschall, Poole

3rd tier: Smiley, Bowman, Lee, JTA, Mulder

There were times in the past I wanted the entire roster gone with the possible exception of Jason Richardson. But even then I knew JRich was a secondary scorer that looked like an All-Star on our horrible roster.

Now, I want everyone back.

Lee played great for us last season for what we asked of him. He's pretty challenged talent-wise but the guy doesn't make mistakes and always does everything(cuts, passes, shoots, you name it) on time. He's someone Kerr can give minutes to and know things won't fall apart.

Bowman plays great defense, unfortunately he still looks like a football player out there. But I still think there's a place for a guard you can stick on the opposing point guard just to make it rough on him and disrupt what they're doing on offense. Not every game and not every matchup but Bowman is like a gadget player that will have his uses most nights.

Mulder's shooting is worth having on the roster. But in the scrimmage footage one thing I made note of was that Ryan Taylor played better. He cut harder, he hunted for shots and he played better defense. Mulder has a tendency to get lost in the flow of the offense. Sometimes that leads to him coming wide open for a three and since he knocks most of those down he's valuable even if that's all he does.

JTA is one guy I don't want to see back. I like that everyone seems to like and respect him, he's clearly a bright dude. But he's soooo limited on offense that he's a liability and on defense, even though he hustles, he's too small to be a specialist defender like someone like Andre Roberson.

Smiley, who knows. We have him under contract for 3 more seasons and I like the idea of him eventually becoming a stretch 5 like Kerr said he was destined to be but I've seen very little of that ability to date. I'm on the fence with Smiley.

On Smiley, I watched a lot of his G-league games both before he was drafted and after and his game is growing fairly quickly. He's still learning how to play, but the natural skills he's shown are worth the investment.

Smailagic is G-League.

Paschall, Looney, and Chriss. Here's an article on Chriss improving his passing.

I'd really hate to trade Poole and Looney to the Hawks unless the Ws get a haul.

I'd trade Looney, tbh, his health concerns me.
Poole? very streaky, but it was his rookie year, let's see him for another.

I'd keep Chriss, Ky and Mulder to begin with. JTA is ok, but we can't keep everybody i suppose.
