Last night was a great illustration of why he is so valuable to the Celtics
Totally apart from his value to us is the fact that you are not getting any sort of value for 30 games of Hayward before he hits unrestricted free agency.
It’s about as big a barrier as Jaylen’s poison pill if we are being real. Just not happening. A total non-starter.
He'd have value to teams trying to get out from under long term deals they no longer want. Cleveland might find him interesting. Sacramento might find him interesting. Maybe Detroit if we wanted to take Griffin off their hands (obviously not). The question becomes is it worth sacrificng the top heavy talent to try to find increased depth for the bench in a trade or should we just stick to the buyout market and/or maybe a small trade.
