I like it. Thins the pool for less participants and might ease the three point fever a little.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Seems fairly similar to mine, but if it attracts more people I'd be down.

Maybe leave the commish the option of trimming it to 2000-2014 if signups are light?

I think the point was to pay tribute to him. I don’t think I meant anything by it.

I don’t either.

Still feels like poor taste this soon.

Anyone have any interest in playing a game with a basic pool to try and rekindle interest, like a 2010s game or something?

Let's do it.

Can we just restart mine? That was simple enough.

I'd be cool with that too. I've just getting the itch to play, any game will work for me.

I'll do a quote bomb tonight and see if anything has changed.

We've done an expanding player pool (first draft I ever did actually).... is anyone interested in a contracting player pool draft? Once you draft someone you can't draft another player from any of the franchises the first guy has played for.

Sounds fantastic.

Plenty of ideas, not enough participation. Personally I shouldn’t do another game until Spring Break. We will see if y’all can get enough people

Yeah I'm kind of wavering on wanting to continue playing these at the moment. It feels like they're running out of steam even earlier than usual these days.

I’ll always be game from time to time, but my days of playing these constantly are over I think. Of course, it’s hard to maintain a community when everyone feels that way.

You need enough people who are always around keeping the lights on and we really don’t have that anymore. I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did.

I don't think we need to have the same frequency as we did in the past, and in any case I doubt I'd have the time these days. My problem is when we actually get a game started and then it seems to run out of momentum before we even reach the playoffs. It starts to feel like you're participating out of obligation rather than enjoyment.

The last game took roughly three months to be decided. Right now we're over 24 hours into the first round and damn near nothing has happened.

I think the pace on this one has been good. In any case, would you prefer if I waited till this one was done before I started the Contracting Franchise one?

Your matchup has been open for two whole days.

I don't think it's a good idea to try and start a new draft until the current one has at least reached the championship game.
