Some things in life just happen and are unavoidable.
So I hope that some reports claiming original pilot refused to fly the chopper due to the weather conditions are NOT true.
That would mean accident was preventable and should never happen

When that reporter on NBA TV earlier was talking about that pilot, I didn't get the sense that was Kobe's original pilot, but an unrelated one they interviewed to talk about the conditions.

That's why Kobe was so inspiring man. That singular laser focus and discipline. I always try to be the hardest worker in anything I do and live with the results. This isn't like work though. Give me a weight I'll lift it, give me a task I'll complete it. This is like being given an empty hole. What do I do with this? Everyone texting me, even people who don't follow basketball at all. People I haven't spoken to in years. They understand how much inspiration I took from Kobe. And I still can't text them back. It makes it more real. Posting on here anonymously just seems easier.

This was just a very shocking thing because Kobe seemed invincible. None of us saw this coming.

I usually don't drink on Sundays due to early work start on Mondays but I am going to go see what I have and drink one for Kobe. Been feeling terrible last few hours. Can't even focus on the games.
