Can’t believe this is real. My heart hurts so much for loss of Kobe and his daughter Gigi. It’s like a part of me died. There was so much he was going to accomplish left in this world. This just feels so very wrong. Doesn’t feel real. I have a lot of anger and sadness right now. RIP Mamba

That’s just so damn terrible, just so so bad. Man just brutal, wow.

NBA seriously needs to cancel games for a bit, just crazy. All the guys playing now surely looked up to Kobe.

I'm mid 30s and to me it is.

I dont remember Magic announcing HIV, but even that wasn't this. An instant violent death that involved kids too.

I cant imagine what could be worse than this. And thats just in general. Nevermind to everyone who Kobe was their favorite sports figure, like me and many others.

I am 34, this is easily the most painful sports news I have ever heard. But also the most personally hurtful celebrity death I have ever experienced. The last time I felt anywhere near this is when Michael Jackson passed and this one is more visceral, tragic and untimely.

Let's be honest, obviously that Kobe's death touches us the most because we all know him and because he still died way too young but the death of his 13 years old daughter is by far the worst thing out of this terrible tragedy and Kobe from where he is would obviously agree with that.
Just can't imagine how his wife and their other children must feel right now...

Kobe is embedded in the fabric of the NBA because he was one of the pioneers of the current NBA. His DNA exists in all current players and it shows in their responses to this tragedy. He has become a father or big brother to so many players. The NBA family will be without a seriously valuable presence going forward. Kobe only knew how to do great things and his vibrant personality and sharp intellect will be sorely missed. He is irreplaceable.

Im almost 25, in my lifetime ( what i can remember ) saddest was when KHL ( Kontinemtal Hockey League team Lokomotiv Yaroslav whole team, staff except died except one guy. Also in Plane crash, but this Kobe one is still so much sadder for me, as im Basketball fan, and it also involves kid.
