They only shared 14 minutes together. 53% of KP’s time and only 40% of Luka’s time shared.
Two guys who were supposed to be their 1 and 2 and Carlisle likes Kleber with him instead, which is a good move.
But had nothing to do with the score and yeah, says something about the indicators on KP so far. They ain’t stellar.
Maybe there could possibly be a strategy where you have your two best players not playing together most of the time ... so that the team always has one "star" on the floor at least. Is that even possible?.gif
And you still don't answer as to why you are obsessed with KP.
I'd be here like this if Courtney was getting playing time and you remorsely-posted negatively about him.
What is your problem?
Yes, we agree then. He’s trying to see if KP can lead offensively with Luka off the court, or if you say it a little differently, he’s breaking them up a little because they don’t complement each other that great yet.
I refer you to this:
Was it an intentional attempt to see how KP does without Luka and because Kleber is doing well with Luka? Yes.

Why wouldn’t you sit him when you’re up double digits and have a game tmrw?
I just want to know the logic against doing that. Kleber and Luka are great together so I get that part.
Could you not say same about Luka?
He subbed Luka for KP twice.
Has he given up on KP and Luka? No.
Is he bowing to reality at the moment? Yes.
Was it an intentional attempt to see how KP does without Luka and because Kleber is doing well with Luka? Yes.
Not hard to understand or explain. Simple. Yet some people are naysayers and want to carp.
If KP breaks out, I’ll be honest. He did some good stuff tonight but removing him from court time with Luka is a sort of, possibly temporary, demotion.
Simple.
Luka isn’t coming of an injury where they’re doing load management. That’s why I think any coach would have done that in this scenario. There’s times where KP just stunk it up and he sits him in close games too.
Kleber and Luka are awesome together so it makes it an easier decision.

bingo. If the Mavericks want to be great, they need a real #2. KP is a #3.

This is remarkable. Blowing a 17 point lead with only 2:49 left in the game. I would figure that would be difficult to do even if you just laid on your back the rest of the game

Just watched half a quarter. He has a limited repertoire of moves. Plus he's bricking like crazy. He doesn't look like a star in this game.
Very notably, Carlisle staggered him and Luka much more. KP’s slot went to Kleber including to end the game.
I know you guys like to troll. But this is boring.
KP went out of the game with 5 minutes left because it's an easy win against a OKC-team without CP when they are up 13 and there's a back to back tomorrow. (He played to there, Luka came in at the same(ish) time.) Luka had *yet another* poor Q4. He doesn't know how to play down the stretch yet. That's fine. He just needs reps. Same as KP.
Where are you guys going with this? Are you trying to "believe" in the Pills FO? Or just want to hate on KP specifically because (FO spin) "he wanted out"? Or You just have focused on a tiny obsession and can enjoy compensating for the sad state of the Knicks by making dumb comments on a player on another team? I genuinely don't get what you are doing. It seems beyond stupid.
Otoh, if it really turns you on to do it, then feel free to express yourselves this way.
Have a snickers Nancy. I said he didn't look that good in the limited time I just watched him. If he looks ordinary I'll say it. If he looked good I certainly would not deny it. I was not ranting. You are though.

Hield just went crazy, Wolves defense was terrible, and then Fox just made them all look silly. It wasn’t the TMac explosion sequence or even the Reggie Miller killer sequence, just a complete Wolves mental meltdown from letting up too soon.

It’s not that deep. Ppl want to talk hoops outside the Knicks bubble and not have it dripping with bias. The agendas are coming from one side.
Hard task to accomplish when it comes to a guy who’s more vilified than Melo ever was. Who saw that coming? He went from hero to hated real quick

Imagine coming in here and thinking you're going to have an unbiased KP discussion and acting surprised when he's treated unfairly. Did people not watch the game at MSG? The city hates this dude. There's a general board and a mavericks board. In here the party line is F KP. There is an agenda, nobody is even trying to hide it, we don't like him.
With that said he objectively sucks. Oh look at that he shot 33% and 28% from 3, right on par with his usual weak performances.

Re: Around the NBA #3 - Kevin Twitterfingers' RGM Burner Edition
SO I watched the end of the Kings Wolves game, really wasn't as wild as I expected it to be. Hield made several 3s, the Wolves missed several free throws and point blank layups, and it all culminated in them intentionally fouling fox up 3 with 4 seconds left, he made the first, missed the 2nd on purpose got his own rebound and put it back to tie it up and send it to OT. But they truly blew a 17 point lead with 2 and a half minutes left. Wolves commentary were taking the entire time like the game was over and how great it was to finally snap the losing streak and were in shock

They probably lost because the Wolves' players thought the same thing.

In this case I was only half crapping on KP. He had an okay game. For a guy who mostly shoots from distance he still can at least defend and both his passing and aggression on the run to the basket are better.
He could take a leap still. But that won’t include high efficiency shooting most likely. He’s below average there.
And anyway the larger point was that he was mad that I said Carlisle changed up to give Luka less time with KP. That’s not the end of the world but it is factual, so why argue, and it is partially a reflection of them wanting/expecting KP to do more on O than he’s showing.

Zero sellers remorse on KP. Dude is 25 going on 35 and thinks he's Kevin Durant when he should be Tim Duncan or Yao Ming.
Would have been nice to get back something other than a broken Dennis Smith but thats a separate issue.
