By the way my comments yesterday was about the MSNBC commentator, not a person on here. Get your facts straight.

Man you're struggling today. Your posts have almost universally been awful. Might be time to step away from the computer for a bit. It's been a tough couple of days for basketball fans, but you're so overly combative that maybe it's best for you especially to take some time away from these boards until you're feeling better.

Awful? Because people like you don’t want to hear the truth or it’s too harsh. I watched people on here underrate him and hate on him on here all the time. It’s almost feels phony watching some of the comments on here since he passed away especially from his haters.

Another thing I follow political pages too on Facebook. That’s why I said it was racist when he brought up that false rape case. Only people that have been bringing that up is white people that are racist. For you to sit up here and say my post are awful because I went after a person who made a horrible comment about Kobe makes you look like a bad person yourself. You’re the 2nd person that’s sticking up for a racist.

But yea I admit I am upset and emotional over what happened to Kobe. Seeing that rape comment on here, after seeing it on multiple political pages by white supremacists upset me. Can’t blame a black man for being upset about someone making racist comments about a dead man. You have the nerve to defend the guy and say my posts are awful. Enjoy defending racism about a man who’s not even here with us anymore. You should be going after the guy that made “awful” racist comments about Kobe instead of me

This is really bad bruh.

What’s bad about it? Elaborate. People are making comments that it’s “bad” or awful” but haven’t explained why. I guess it’s cause I was brutally honest. I think it’s BAD that people are trying to tear down a black man that just recently died

Well said, let's not bring politics or race into this thread. We shouldn't give those idiots (the people tearing down Kobe) attention because they don't deserve any. Their lives are just miserable and they would cry about something else if it wasn't this.

Yea but why do you think those actresses and journalists are trying to tear him down? Think about that. Everyone knows the racist history with a white woman lying on a black man about rape. Emmett Till is just one example. There are plenty other of examples I could list too.

I didn’t hear anyone tearing down Elvis Presley when he died and he was sleeping with a 14 year old girl. I did hear people tear down Michael Jackson though and y’all about his court case when he died. Wanna know why. Because of his race.

Jerry Lee Lewis, a rockstar married his own 13 year old cousin. Nobody tore him down.

Jeffrey Epstein, Harvey Weinstein and plenty of other white men got away with rape and didn’t do any jail time for it due to white privilege. Kobe situation was false. I find a hard time believing a white woman about being raped by a black man because of the history of white women lying on black men about it plus I feel that was all about money anyway.

Like I said since the #metoo movement only black men been going to jail while white men are walking Scott free. They tore down Bill Cosby when he was 80 years old and put him in jail. The man is half blind.

Even though I do think R Kelly was guilty I also saw what was happening too. Racist white people trying to tear down black icons.

They are trying to do the same with Kobe. Tear him down because they hate to see how much he was loved and admired across the country, a black man at that.

I’m shocked that people are actually defending comments from a person who had a racist agenda when bringing up Kobe rape case. Like I said those are the only people bringing up the rape case, people with a racist agenda to tear down another black

This is a thread to mourn the passing of nba great Kobe Bryant and his daughter and 7 other lives that were lost. No one should denigrate his name or mention his name here other than to mourn him and the others who passed. Anyone who is bringing up things other than to mourn Kobe or remember him in a positive light should leave this thread and politics, race, sexism, bigotry and other bs has no other place here.

Take it elsewhere.

It was too much to ask that a thread like this not degenerate into this mess. The internet (and society as a whole quite frankly) is really a hopeless cesspool.

I'm sad Kobe died. I'm particularly sad that his daughter and two other kids died along with their parents. It's a horrible tragedy and that's all anyone should focus on.

Anyone bringing up the rape case is an attention seeking idiot (including the employee of the Washington Post). Everyone knows about it. There's no need to throw it out there in the news or on forums the day after the damned plane crash that KILLED THESE PEOPLE. It's pathetic. Similarly, the people dragging the accuser through the mud are idiots. The case never went to trial. She, like most other accusers in these types of cases, went through public hell. She backed out. That doesn't mean she was lying. As far as I'm concerned NOBODY knows what happened in that room other than her and Kobe. Nobody. The fact that we're even talking about it today is effed up. Let it go.

Like I said before I follow political pages on Facebook and saw racist people bringing that up. Didn’t expect to see someone bring that up on a basketball forum.

You're embarrassing yourself. The fact that you're here trying to sympathise with Cosby really says more about you more so than what anything else is saying about anyone else. What your saying is also factually incorrect. Jeffery Epstien "killed himself" while in jail, Harvey Weinstein is literally on trial right now.

I agree that now isn't the time to talk about Kobe's indiscretions, though. But you've hijacked this thread with your nonsense just as much as the people bringing that stuff up have.

Let it go.

People read articles and some case details and think they have it all figured out. The fact is only 2 people know exactly what occurred that day.

Bro I love Kobe and didn’t expect to see anyone bring up that rape case. That dude started it and brought politics into this conversation when he mentioned that rape stuff.

Like I said before I follow political pages on Facebook and saw racist people bringing that up. Didn’t expect to see someone bring that up on a basketball forum.

Just so you know, the general demographic of basketball fans is pretty liberal leaning. Following far-right leaning facebook pages and attributing their beliefs to posts on a basketball forum is legit one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

I gave him one shot. He blew it.

I hope Kobe gets some awesome recognition and honors at the All Star game.
