What's Aaron Nesmiths' best Comparison
Aaron Nesmith of Vanderbilt seems like a pretty solid scorer and great perimeter shooter too, with real potential and good statistal percentages for being slated as a potential late first round pick. I'm wondering what everyone sees as his best potential projected comparison, Should he reach his ceiling. And also what his likely pro comparison should be if he's just average.

Why not dream on Buddy Hield? Isn't Hield kind of a glorified 3 point specialist, now a bench player? Both wear #24.

Temple's more of a combo guard - he couldn't shoot at all at LSU and just worked and worked and worked some more to become an NBA player. Nesmith's stronger - a 2/3 and a more gifted shooter.

Temple is not really a combo guard at all, he doesn't have that great of ball skills, I don't think Nesmith has great ball skills either, Temple is more a 2/3 as well even tho he's only 6-5, he's actually kinda strong too, has developed into a decent spot up guy (some years, he's pretty inconsistent), on defense he's semi passable like Nesmith

I didn't say he's a good combo guard, but yeah - Temple made it to the NBA with the Wiz playing mostly PG. And he was mostly a PG at LSU.

arguably the best catch and shoot 3/d prospect in the draft. the defensive intensity along with the ability to fill it up shooting 52% from deep at a decent 8 attempts per avg and the growing development of moves to create for himself despite not being a freak athlete or very efficient ball handler allows scouts to feel comfortable seeing him as a Klay Thompson type prospect although that is probably setting the bar a little higher than most will admit, I think it's possible he could be exactly that at the next level.

He’s a pure movement shooter, best in the class. What is up with these comparisons? Oof. Not a consistent defender (some flashes), but reason to buy stock there, sure.

Hope he's better than John Jenkins.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

And I’d disagree.

Whatever your take is now will probably stand with some stock hits for the stress fracture that looks to have ended his college career.
Easily the Tyler Herro of this draft ... Slept on and will outperform typical projections.

If he was Tyler Herro he would have been drafted as a Freshman.

Re: What's Aaron Nesmiths' best Comparison
This guy had beyond video game percentages from the 3. Reports are he hurt his foot two weeks before his last game. In his last 4 games in that time he played 39 mins per and still shot 64.5% from three on 31 attempts.
I'm already sold with his shooting but he's shown enough defensive upside as well. Stack obviously helped unlocked something from his game.

That's fair he had a terrible freshman season same as Simi when their lottery bound pg went down after 5 games. I doubt he'd even get drafted if he declared after 1.
The point is he's just as good if not better but is still being slept on in the same way.
BTW thanks captain obvious

I mean ESPN has him 22 on their board so he's not reallllly being slept on. FWIW never really a great sign if a guy has a 1:2 AST:TOV ratio as a wing. Herro was closer to 2:1 and was/is a more complete offensive player.

Hes a borderline allstar caliber player and the kings best player(most may argue fox). You clearly havent watched the kings.

And you apparently haven't watched Nesmith.
Like I said he is being slept on as a legit lottery prospect and probably will go later now that he's hurt than he would have after a full season of play like he had been. But most mocks and bb are seeing him as a marginal role player because he is not a on ball creator but an off ball specialist.
They are ignoring the big picture especially in a draft with several high ceiling on ball guards and few true off ball 3 point specialists that play defense. He is not the polorizing prospect Heild was though so if entertaining is more important than 2 way winning basketball yep he ain't Heild.
