Official Utah Jazz Press Release

- We have officially acquired Robert Covington from the Detroit Pistons. We feel that he'll be able to add some defense and the ability to stretch the floor for us. It allows Cam to head to the bench to be able to lead the second unit along with Mill and Plumlee.

- When asked as to why there going for it when they sit in last place in the division, the Jazz GM offered some pretty colorful remarks. The reason? Look around in the league, most of these teams suck. There is no more pride in making the playoffs for most of these teams, they don't even know how to play the game the right way. Teams are openly tanking without a care in the world, teams are sitting their best players citing load management. It's year three in our young league and some of these teams out there are still tanking looking for young talent, well guess what? Its a cautionary tale. A losing culture breeds a losing mentality, we have never tanked in Utah nor will we ever. We look forward to putting a product on the court that are fans can be proud of. We want to be the example for Blue Collar workers. We rather create out own luck instead of praying to a ping pong ball.
