Dang, the Knicks really messed it up. So, not only did they give away the talent/potential, but they seem to have fumbled handling a guy who really looks like he has his head in the right place, just plays hard, with a fearless mindset and buys into a team concept. Point being: you see no ego. If things are going well or bad, his body language is good. He isn't blaming others or being a diva. Interesting. It got to the point where I don't even care that much about the shooting lines, I care about the quality of the shots (see a clip below where he passes up what would be a terrible attempt) and his effort. His effort has always been there. He is filtering out some of the bad shots attempts he had earlier.
THJ combining with KP. Timmy credited with 4 assists to KP.
This play is pretty great to me... he used to attempt some horrible looking shots (still has some, but rare now)
He still has some glaring holes. But it's all good. I'll let others point it out.
And by the way, without Luka he is more active/willing to be involved in action, so while the Mavs definitely need to incorporate him more, it's probably mostly just about him being more assertive/bringing in the same intensity/mindset when he plays next to the Luka guy as opposed to thinking "ZOMG they aren't a good fit". This dude just attempted 13 3s. He can jack them up next Luka. No problem.
