Ok so the club should trade him for a player you want.
Why continue with the pain?
Build around Embiid.

No, they need to integrate both major talents, which might require a new coach, although BB has been better of late.

What part of it being problematic for a team if their point guard is out of options if the situation is one in which the best option for any other PG would be to shoot do you not understand ?.

I understand what you are saying. I just don't think it's going to happen.

This thread has gone to the dogs

Simmons should leave because fans and posters here give him a hard time?

Oookay

Simmons is adamant about being the PG?

Shake Milton played there yesterday

Simmons is the best player?

Nobody I recall has ever said that

Not a team player?

Rarely misses a game, is completely unselfish and plays “out of position” multiple times every night

Doesn’t take shots a normal pg does?

News flash: he ain’t a normal pg and the Sixers have known that since college

Criticise his lack of a jumper but the rest is just ****

Im just curious at this point.

Correction I said "American English". True story, I once got asked at train station in Paris "do you speak American?"
I asked "is that anything like English?"
There was a blank stare for a few seconds but then "oh sorry I meant English" haha...she was very cute.

Sixers fans have high blood pressure right? I'm worried the extra anxiety and stress Ben is giving you guys might clogg the Emergency wards during the play offs.

Yeah I live in Melbourne, Ben's home town.
But I'm from Sydney.

Melbourne is actually my home town as well but I also live in Sydney; I watched Ben’s father play back in the day.

I am puzzled that a professed Australian does not appear to understand the concept of team sport.

Hey true blue here.
Yes undetstand concept, I'm hoping Brett Brown has Ben Simmons perfectly in sync with the other players in the Boomers at Tokyo, we are sick of 4th place.

As for Ben & the 76ers, would love to see them do well together. But suspect I will likely continue to get great amusement from the Ben hate on this forum.

I understand what you are saying. I just don't think it's going to happen.

Send him to GSW and they probably win another 3 titles, likely the next 3 in a row.

I started following the Sixers in Ben’s redshirt year, and became enamoured of Embiid, health aside he is likely the best Center in the NBA, and offensively at least is suited to many of the spots that also suit Ben. I have come to understand the frustration of the Sixers fans with Ben not shooting. Embiid and Ben actually mainly have good numbers together. There is not much doubt however that Embiid has been more effective in terms of beating the better teams thus far.

Ben may be on the cusp of working things out, the FTs lately are encouraging as I and others have said. That is basically the frustration of the Sixers fans methinks, if he is confident about making his FTs and continues to finish aggressively that will add considerably to his game even without a jumper, but even a mediocre jumper would make him (\and the Sixers) fairly unstoppable.

Did I say that? No!

I have no problem if Sixers fans think Ben Simmons is a bucket of dog’s vomit.
It’s the crying and whining like a little girl who scraped her knees that is the annoying part.

Throw out that dog’s vomit, wash the bucket with a hose, then fill the bucket with something that you want, that is going to make you happy.

Objectively reading this forum, one would be justified saying that Ben Simmons is the single biggest factor for elevated blood pressure across Philadelphia.

He was the guy who was adamant about being PG for the team. As such he has been flawed however huge his talent. The Sixers Center is actually pretty good at doing Center things, and a pretty much automatic All-star selection in that position even if injured.
Actually, it has come out that Brett is the one who wanted Ben to play PG, and Ben was originally against the idea. There was a story and video about it a few years ago. Ben basically told Brett he was crazy to put Ben at PG, and Brett was like no its actually genius, you'll see.

This is a situation Brett needs to fix, not Ben.

Sure, it would be great for Ben to start shooting, but at the same time if he isn't ready then Brett needs to play him with a PG or SG who can take over scoring at any time.

Or it's a situation Elton needs to fit by trading Horford for a PG.

Well there is a direct flight San Francisco to Melbourne so maybe.

Oh and you're not even a real Sixes fan!! you're a blow in. We all know you pick your sporting teams by the age 10, at the latest, and you never change!!! Did you support another NBA team before Simmons was drafted to the Philadelphia 76ers? If so, blow in.

No, I am a GSW fan as I think is well known having got on board the bandwagon with Australia’s previous number 1 draft pick, and am sticking with them, but fortunately have the Sixers to follow as a second team this year.

This is why I am acutely aware of how annoying it is for posters on team sites for people to be only interested in a single player but not really their team. As I believe I said, success for me in a sport like basketball can only be team success. I also really like Embiid as a player anyway.

So apparently Ben made the All-Star team again. It's over. Dude is never going to shoot.

Good news is Brett finally recognizes this and plans to take him off the ball more by putting a PG out there with Ben more often, freeing him up to wreak havoc with screens, cuts, post ups, decoys, etc.

Now, Elton has the unenvying task of finding a better PG to fit with Simmons when Raul isn't capable of consistent play.

Jaylen Brown is probably fuming that Simmons got in over him.

It basically means trading Harris for Chris Paul in the summer. Not great. At least the contract is shorter.

Brown is probably disapointed but understanding that Tatum got in over him.

I bet Harris feels more annoyed with Simmons getting in over him than Brown does with Tatum getting in.
