is he really a wing tho? more of a combo guard than anything

but yea, surprised this dude went undrafted, he's a bully, super strong, good athlete...there were some games were he was an absolute menace defensively...when he really wanted it he was the best guard defender in college last year

Fair, he's playing with SGA and Paul so for them he's kind of a wing, but its more or less because they're so guard heavy. Haven't seen enough of him handling the ball to really call him a true combo guard at this point but he's definitely better than what they've had from Ferguson so far it seems like.

yea with Cp3 and SGA he's not gonna get a lot of lead guard time but he played that role a lot for Arizona St last year

So will Zion pass Ja after he crushes in tomorrow’s battle between the rookie stars?

Ja Morant deserves to be a reserve.

Also, what's gotten into Cam Reddish lately? He's been pretty decent scoring-wise, but I haven't had a chance to watch the Hawks in a few weeks.

His defense has been decent for a rookie all season long but now he is shooting the three ball better. Its nice to see. Game tonight against the 76ers with Len, Bruno, and Parker out again should be interesting. A very tough challenge given the 76ers size.

Those two Hawks rookies helped out tonight in the win over the 76ers.

Hunter 15 PTS, 50% from the field, 40% from three, 2 boards, 2 assist, 2 turnovers.
Reddish 12 PTS, 40.9% from the field, 40% from three, 2 boards, 2 assist, 1 turnover.

Michael Porter jr averaging 15-10 double-double in past 8 games despite playing only about 25 minutes per game! His rebounding is shockingly good for a 'silky' SF.

Cam Reddish has been improving each month he's been in the league. I'm kind of rooting for him simply because of how much **** people were giving him at the start of the season.

12ppg, 40% 3pfg on 5 attempts, 41% fg, 82% ft in January is a pretty decent month for a 20 year old raw rookie.

I know some fans crapped on Malone for slowly bringing Porter Jr. into the rotation, and now want him to play 36 minutes a night as a starter. But I think that, at least for this year, it's probably best for Porter Jr. to only play about 20-25 minutes a night as the instant offense guy off the bench.

I think he is doing enough now for a 20 year old. Everyone would love to get more but as you said, 12ppg, 40% 3pfg on 5 attempts, 41% fg, 82% ft, is not a bad way to go out in the 2nd half of the season.

I do not understand the love for Barrett. His FG%, 3PT%, FT% is worse than Hunters'. He is just barely more efficient than Cam Reddish.

Hunter .515 TS%
Barrett .470 TS%
Reddish .464 TS%

I hope he turns out good; just like I hope Hunter and Reddish do. I think all three could be good for the game. But 4th for Barrett seems like a lot of hype based solely on expectations and not actual performance.

because context? he's averaging way more rebs and assists than Cam/Hunter too, and his team literally has 0 spacing with no functional PG on it

I guess but I am still dismayed by it. To me he is the weakest link in the above top 10, not the 4th best.
