I’m here in the soulless, box store community of Hoffman Estates, Illinois to watch Dragan & the Herd take on the Windy City Bulls. Roastable as Oshkosh may be this area doesn’t have 1/10 of the character. Plenty of Bed, Bath & Beyonds though.

Speaking of which, Dragan was named G League Player of the Week. He's become a high volume 3 point shooter while making 41.5% of them. TO's are still a bit high, but he's doing very well overall. And yes, I'd like to see how he does playing next to Giannis.

The Herd are 22-5 after their win tonight, topping everyone in the standings & off to the second best record (to this point) in G-league history. Wisconsin went into Santa Cruz (a top three environment) with a skeleton crew devoid of a single NBA player & beat a team armed with four guys on assignment, all of whom have seen NBA time this season with the Warriors.

Here’s hoping Bud & the Bucks can keep coach Chase Buford in the organization for a long, long time. Every dude on that roster stays ready & steps up consistently. Super impressive all the way around, credit to everybody.

Also this dude Leon Gilmore had the dunk of his career. It’s never getting better than this for Leon.

23-5 now - wow. Grats to Jaylen Adams for being named Player of the Week.

If Jemerio Jones could only shoot, he'd be in the NBA. I keep saying that, but his shooting is not improving. Still 14 rebounds and 8 assists last night.

Think Jones’s ceiling is high end role player on a good Euroleague team.

If Adams were two inches taller he’d be in a rotation. Definitely roster worthy.

One thing's for sure; Jones has a better chance of developing a jump shot than Adams does of growing 2 inches.

Bender just player an abysmal half of G-league basketball. By far his worst of the season. Wilson got hot early but isn’t really passing the eye test.

The most Wisconsin accented middle aged white guy screamed “Sit down you criminal!” at a Skyhawks player returning to the bench. Yikes.

The Herd lost by 8 and Wilson was +25... He was doing somethin' right.

The plan was likely always to use this season to develop Bender and then see what happens next year with RoLo and Ersan. Honestly didn't even expect him to get as many minutes as he's gotten thus far, so pleasantly surprised. Don't think there's much hope for DJ anymore (at least with this team). Designating a guy for assignment halfway through his 3rd season isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. I'm operating under the expectation that he's played his last meaningful minutes in a Bucks uniform.

I don't know what happened to DJ the last six weeks, but he was getting PT early and he played well. He had a big game against the Knicks and played well against the Grizz when he played for Illy.

Then, he just stopped getting significant PT. Do we know what happened?

Not so sure about that. I was under the assumption that he wasn't seeing any minutes or being sent to the Herd was because they were looking to package him and Sterling and trying to avoid any possible injuries. Wilson actually getting some minutes with the Herd might indicate otherwise. Interesting that Brown hasn't gotten the same opportunity.

I was there. Made his first four or five shots in the first half of the first quarter then went dormant after that. Bad bricks, bobbled passes. Tried that slow behind the back dribble move a couple times with disastrous results. He hasn’t played that many minutes in a while and looked pretty gassed by the end, which is understandable. Think he’s benefit from an extended stay with the Herd if he remains out of the Bucks rotation.

Jones & Adams were by far the best Herd players on the court last night.

26-8, still the best record in the G League and winning without Bender. Jem Jones is now the league's leading rebounder with 11.9 a game. Btw, what is Bender doing now - did he sign with another team/organization?

He cleared waivers with no one picking him up. Hope he returns to finish out the season with the Herd.

Can't he just sign up? Or is he waiting for a NBA team to pick him up first? Not a g league team.

Nope. Dude was brutal. Was sitting across from a young black female executive with the Skyhawks, praying she didn’t hear. She heard.
