Does Klopp realise that the FA Cup is for every team in the football association not just for Liverpool? Will Klopp be putting the kids out to play in the Champion's league when they add another 4 games to the schedule ?

Why are you so bothered by it? It's a meaningless Cup competition for some of us.

If one of your primary goals is to win the FA Cup, then that's fine. But that's a small club mentality imo. Some of us strive for bigger & better things in life. I'm not someone who will settle for 2nd place.#MambaLife

I'm not worried about it. Just pointing out the Klopp hypocrisy. I'd not expect foreign based fans to understand the importance of the FA CUP and it seems that's the same for some foreign managers too. I hope you do put out the kids and Shrewsbury win, gives everyone else a better chance of winning the Cup.

Aren't you foreign yourself?

The FA Cup is great trophy to win and have a long history, but still no more than 3rd string after the Prem and the CHL. Klopp are just respecting the winterbreak which the Prem introduced. Put a FA Cup game inbetween and there is no winterbreak. This is a problem between FA and the Prem.

And the discussion with replays isn't some new phenomena. It has been a conversation for years, long before Klopp even came to Liverpool. And debates about scratching the league cup isn't something Klopp brought with him either.

Why are you so concerned about what Klopp chooses to do? He chooses to stay true to the winter break introduced by the Premier League and gives first-team players a holiday. It is a clear signal to both the FA and the Premier League that the current structure is not working. How can you put in a winter break, and still end up having first-team matches during that break? That is the whole essence of why Klopp is so stubbornly insisting that it'll be the youth team in the return game, while the first team holds the holiday introduced by the Premier League.

And furthermore, the FA Cup is only the third most important tournament, so should we be eliminated it is not the downfall of the world. There is no reason for you to be acting like this whole problem with replays are some new phenomena that Klopp brought with him.

I prob shouldn't answer this. I'm sure this was meant to be rhetorical.

HIF...I do think you have a point. The FA cup means so much more to the "folks" in the country. It's actually a pretty cool tournament.

I like to have some fun around here....that's all. Whatever Klopp wants to do, I gotta respect. He's turned this place into a well-oiled machine. He's a German Footballer himself...so I'm sure he gets it much better than I ever will. That said....as a grumpy "title or bust" American over here, it's always good to see your manager get sucked into the darkside.

It's kind of a joke that the NBA is currently trying to introduce a similar mid-season tournament. None of the other leagues (American) do this. Your right. The concept has always felt foreign to us.

19 points clear, 70 out of a possible 72 Total points. It feels so surreal. I don't wanna wake up from this dream man. lmao

Seems like a strong case for best season in football history if you guys can keep winning at this rate.

Certainly an awesome way to end a 30 year championship drought. Was worth the wait.

Yeah...this has been quite a season. Still want the squad to stay focused on the prize that matters. Sounds like Klopp is doing just that. Anything else is just gravy as far as I'm concerned.

I was born in Sussex. But I moved when I was 3-1/2...so I have always considered myself American. My parents were US citizens, so I was naturalized. I understandably have a soft spot for England.....def root for them after the US in the World Cup, but I'd be lying if I said I was anything but a good ol' American corn-fed white boy.

Prob why the FA cup business is totally lost on me =0)

I have a soft spot for the U.K. as well. But that's mainly due to the weather here.

I had a Professor in College (A true Geordie). Huge Newcastle & Football fan. He would always tell stories about the reason he chose to live in Seattle of all places.

1st Clue: The weather.

Hehe. You have a point.

I am from 95'. I started playing football at the age of 3, but i ofc didn't know anything at that age. I am the only one in my family following football, so i was not indoctrinated to support or follow a specific team. The coverage of the Premier League is major and have been so in Denmark since the 90's. I used Teletext daily to see the standings in the football leagues across Europe before i started in school. I am still not sure why or when i started supporting Liverpool, but at a vacation in the summer of 03 or 04 in Croatia i bought two fake Liverpool shirts with Gerrard on the back. As i grew up some of my schoolmates became United fans and suddenly also a wave of Chelsea supporters occured - the Abramovich effect. CHL final in 2005 is my first real memory, but i think around 07-08 i started regularly watching some games so i could discuss it on mondays with my schoolmates.

For the last ~8 years i have missed a few games. I'd rather not come to an event if Liverpool plays and i can't watch the game at the event. It really culminated this summer when we played Spurs in the final. A familymember decided to place a wedding on saturday June 1st. At the time i said yes to the invitation i didn't know Liverpool would be in the final, so i could not just stay away. I had a room the place the wedding were held at, so i left the dinner and watched the first half in my room. I then rejoined the party and watched the 2nd half on an ipad while having dessert. When Origi made it 2-0, I knocked so hard on the table, that glass and red wine toppled all over on the table and on the floor - and meanwhile shouting my lungs out. Then everyone started laughing and i left the mess in celebration.

The next day with hangover, all everyone could talk about when they saw me was my celebration and outbreak. But still a bummer way to watch the final. Really just an empty feeling after the adrenaline dump - no fellow Liverpool fans or mates to celebrate with. Just some family and random people with no interest in football not understanding why the heck i went beserk when Origi scored. I wished i had some fellow Liverpool mates that i could celebrate and hype up the victory with. One thing for sure - next time i get invited to a wedding and Liverpool plays Champions League final, i am cancelling the wedding.

Weird game today. We played one of the worst half of the season in the 1st half. 2nd half a clinic. Feel a bit bad for Southampton, they did better than a 4-0 defeat. After the 2-0 goal Southampton gave up and in the end it could be more than 4-0.

Hendo is a strong contender for Player of the Year.

Another city loss. 22 points clear now. At this rate we might clinch the title by the beginning of March.

Great win for the young guns last night. I luckily found a decent stream.

Curtis and Neco on another level compared to the rest last night. Hard for Neco though with Trent infront of him. I think Curtis will play a bigger role next season and Neco will get some Prem and CHL football when Trent is resting.
