Jokic top 5 right now and needs to be on the next poll. He’s carrying a banged up Denver team to the near top of the west

Bucks need 19-16 from now on for 60 wins and 24-11 for 65.
Raptors need 26-8 for 60 wins and all others (except Lakers) must do better than that to get 60.

As team record is very important to decide who’s most valuable, if Bucks get over 65 others need 60 to have a chance.
In the next poll it should only be Giannis with LeBron and AD. LeBron still has a chance, I feel, but he can lose votes to AD.
Or put up 10 names with 2 votes, so you can vote for 2nd place as well.

That's what the people don't understand about him. He doesn't give a jack **** about his own stats and always tries to get everyone involved. When other guys are injured or not playing well, he steps up and carries the team. He and Craig exchanged words on the court two nights ago against Memphis, but he praised him after last night's game, asked the crowd not to boo Barton last season when he played awfully etc.

So once everyone's back, his numbers will probably drop again, but he's gonna lift his game and be a beast in the playoffs this year too.

LeBron leads the team in overall points, LeBron and AD are tied in overall steals (and Danny Green has only two fewer), and Dwight and AD are tied in overall rebounds. The only stat AD leads the team in outright is blocks.

I don't see Lebron mounting a serious case in the final 30+ games even looking outside of his PTS/REB/AST box score numbers. Per things like PER, WS/48, TS%, VORP, etc., he'd technically be the worst statistical MVP winner since 2011 Derrick Rose. It would take some ridiculous collapse and Giannis missing a bunch of games to make it close at this point. He's miles ahead.

Not that it matters, because the Lakers have only played 56% of their schedule (i.e., there's still nearly half of the season left to play, so numbers can change a lot), but LeBron's BPM is higher than Durant's MVP season in 2014. VORP is the cumulative version of BPM, so you should've used BPM. EDIT on February 1st: Today LeBron's BPM has dropped below Durant's, but that kind of proves my point about there being so much time for numbers to change before the season ends.

Blazers shouldnt be anywhere near the playoffs with the supporting cast and all the injuries theyve had

He doesn't want to take over the game because that would be embarrassing but he's not gonna let them lose because the other dude couldn't turn up.

In the 2006 season Marion led the Suns in points, FG%, rebounds, steals, blocks, minutes/game, and games played,while being his teams best defensive player.

Nash won MVP.

I do my best not to buy into celebrity culture and not put people I've never met onto pedestals just because they have a talent I admire. I know that 99% of what we know about famous people gets filtered one way or another. That's why when I wrote "love," I also wrote "as a player." (Not because no homo, lol.)

But, as far as game goes, Jokic checks all of my boxes so, so much. I really get a thrill out of watching him play well. My three favorites of all time are MJ, Hakeem, and Duncan. If he stays healthy and keeps doing this for another 8-10 years, I could definitely see Jokic joining that group. He's probably already among my ten favorite ever.

Yeah, he's just like any other regular guy - overweight, lumbering around, beer belly, dressed like a scholar... Then gets on the court and plays like a superstar. Duncan-like guy, no wonder he wants to be like him.

There was also a video comparison of him and Gobert regarding the clothes they wore to a game. Gobert all dressed up, purple shirt under a blue jacket, gold medallion on a fat chain, as if he went to a club and then there was the Joker in some lousy tracksuit and a cap, looking like he went out to chop wood for his fireplace. :lol:

Few years ago, the Nuggets posted pictures of what the players wore during the summer and there was all kinds of swagger, everyone putting shiny expensive stuff on themselves, while His Groundness spent the summer in slippers, plain t-shirts of a popular Serbian show he starred in and eating fish stew every day. :lol:

It's just insane how down to Earth this guy is.

Lebron leads the team in assists only. Which is the most overrated stat around, other than defensive rebounds. Cumulative stats mean nothing in basketball. Winner is decided within 48 minutes and whatever contribution a player makes, must be within that time frame. Otherwise we would just add up overall points scored by every team in all 82 games of the season, and give the ring to the one that scored the most overall or the one that has the biggest point differential overall.
