Kanter/Romeo/Wanamaker works on the trade machine.

Add a Bos 20 and Bucks 20 and call it a day?

That’s too much. Romeo is like a draft pick. That’s 3 first round picks. Too much

I’d be down for Capela but I’m not sure we pull it off. Makes sense tho - he’s under a good contract for 3 seasons so even if we have to lose something this year, we get a piece for the years moving forward and down the road it’s good salary balance and a sought out player while helping us in the present term on the court.

Imagine how deadly the Hayward/Capela combo will be

Well considering Houston likes to shoot 3 million three’s a game & Theis can shoot behind the arc while Kanter can’t ... I think we know who the Rockets will be asking for.

So we're limited in trading Hayward to Houston because they don't have enough outgoing salary.. Eric Gordon can't be traded until after the deadline..

But:

Hayward, Alex Len to HOU
Evan Turner, John Collins, Thabo Sefolosha to BOS
Capela, PJ Tucker, Daniel House, Nene, Ben Mclemore to HOU

Atlanta gets a center who can captain a defense from day 1, out-rebound Collins by a large margin, and be an elite roll threat with Trae Young
Houston gets a serviceable big body and a skilled third option on the wing
We get Collins on a rookie-scale contract and have a deal lined up to flip Evan Turner's expiring, with picks for a different big..Myles Turner matches salary perfectly..

Kemba/Wanamaker
Jaylen/Smart/Langford
Tatum/Ojeleye/Javonte Green
Theis/John Collins/Grant Williams
Myles Turner/Kanter/Rob Williams/Poirier

We get younger, we add size and upside, we get even better defensively, we have great spacing.. and you hope that one or both of Turner and Collins can improve their rebounding..

Could also do Capela/filler to ATL, Evan Turner/Reddish to MIN, Covington and Kanter to HOU, John Collins to BOS..

Hayward and Wanamaker to HOU, D-Rose to LA, KCP to WAS, Drummond, Kennard and Bertans to BOS - add shooting and stack the front-court

It would theis + assets, I doubt they would be interested in kanter because his player profile, theis is good and really compatible with rockets style unlike kanter that doesn't have the stamina, speed and defense level to play with the rockets as starter.

Fair call, I dont object to that line of thought at all. Creates roster spaces for us to hold picks for this off season too

I might do that, with just the MIL pick included, but it would have to include Houston flipping Langford to MIN in the same deal to get Covington..

Capela to BOS, Kanter, Wanamaker, Covington and Javonte Green to HOU, Langford, Austin Rivers, Ben Mclemore to MIN

That'd be a 4 for 1 deal for us, though - Kemba/Jaylen/Hayward/Tatum/Capela with Smart, Waters, Ojeleye, Grant Williams, Theis and Rob Williams off the bench..

Not smart to overpay for Capela, esp. if his market's heating up..

I'm late to the party just noticed Capela was a scratch. Something's up.

The deal for Capela wouldn’t cost as much as we think. They want assets. We picks and we have Langford who was a lottery pick. I’d prefer to keep Romeo as I have a feeling he’s going to be a good pro. But so isn’t Capela so that’s the going rate. I don’t think Danny would move Theis. Theis has been excellent and I feel like Danny would probably walk away before giving Theis plus assets.

I've wondered that, too.. Love Theis and don't want to give him up, but if you're sending him out and getting Capela to play the 5..

ESPN's trade checker claims that Theis, Poirier, Covington to HOU, Langford and Mclemore to MIN, Capela to BOS works..

So does Capela to BOS, Covington, Theis, Wanamaker to HOU, Langford and Mclemore to MIN

Ideally you'd want to take Langford out of the deal and send MIN Poirier and Carsen Edwards..maybe with the MIL 1st..

Theis, Wanamaker, Covington to HOU, Poirier, Edwards, Mclemore, late 1st to MIN, Capela to BOS..

It's possible the price for HOU isn't so much Capela's going rate as the cost of Covington.. like, if we get Capela, Houston gets Covington and one of Theis/Kanter, then we'd just have to flip enough value to entice Minnesota.. might take Langford, could just take filler and 1-2 1sts..

Also not sure why Houston would rather have one of our centers and Covington than Capela.. And not sure why we want to give away the farm to get Ben Wallace 2.0: no jumper, bad free throw shooting, great defense and rebounding, and likely to go south as fast as Wallace did when he loses his legs..

Celtics might not be involved at all. It’s all speculation at this point.

If you can get Capela & you have to give up Theis you have to do it.

lol I doubt anything happens. And this isn't even a trade that moves the needle for us much IMO.

This team has fantastic chemistry, needs to get healthier though eventually, of course.
