Capela doesn’t get me too excited. I share the same concerns. I’d make an offer for him, but I wouldn’t be giving up too much.

Honestly I’m just hoping for a little bench scoring

lol I doubt anything happens. And this isn't even a trade that moves the needle for us much IMO.

So somebody that can legitimately compete vs Embiid and help protect the paint vs Giannis doesn't move the needle?

If we need more scoring off the bench, do we really need to trade for it? Couldnt we stagger the starters more? Or is the situation that dire?

When we're full strength we keep two of four scorers on the floor most times I'm not too concerned. Besides we can add one for cheap or explore the buyout market.

I wouldn't be cashing that in yet, I still got Spurs & Blazers passing Memphis.

2-4 slots not gonna be much of a difference late lotto. Why keep and get younger anyway? Thought the end game was to cash it in for an impact player.

Ok, one last idea:

Hayward to ORL (as previously floated)
Fournier to MIN
Covington and Kanter to HOU
Mo Bamba and Romeo Langford to NOP
Brandon Ingram and Capela to BOS

Tough to get the salaries to work perfectly.. but something like that combines four separate recent rumors and - imho - is plausible for every team while upgrading us from Hayward to Ingram and Kanter to Capela..

I'd be looking at trading up or out for a point guard at draft time.. Someone like Mannion could slip to 11 or 12, we could trade up a few spots, or a team might be willing to deal a young point guard for three firsts (Coby White?) - the perfect time to add a high-level point prospect to develop as a future Kemba Walker replacement..

Does ddb mean Danny Da Bomb?
I will get Hayward an Uber to the airport myself if you can make that happen. Sadly, Minny likely tells Danny to go **** himself.

This team has fantastic chemistry, needs to get healthier though eventually, of course.

There really isn’t any needle mover trades out there tho- no superstars available and our salary construction doesn’t allow for it. So if you can improve the team and a get a player who you can have the next few seasons it does make some sense.

Not saying it makes us favorites or anything like that- but what would? nothing in season. Capela is young and fits a need and unlike other bigs mentioned he can run the floor, hold his own on the perimeter if caught in a switch and catch lobs from smart, Hayward etc.

Sometimes you gotta settle for doubles when the home runs aren’t there

Think there'd actually be overhead for us to do

Hayward to ORL
Fournier to MIN
Covington and Kanter to HOU
Bamba and Langford to NOP
Ingram, Capela and Dieng to BOS
