Doesn’t seem likely. Maybe if Millsap’s contract were longer.

Appreciate the response. I just wonder how Denver gets better. I’m not a huge fan of the position they’ve put themselves in so I’d personally roll the dice and see if a Paul-Jokic led team can win the ship this year or next.

From Denver’s perspective, they need to consolidate some of their assets. Gary Harris could be moved if he doesn’t start playing better. MPJ is possibly an up and coming key player. They could also move Beasley. Denver’s biggest issue is they need to Murray to live up to his contract and be a star. Jokic not being fat couldn’t hurt.

Re: 2019-2020 Trade Deadline Thread
Denver is one of the last team that should look into getting CP3.
They have a great team with some depth. Not sure why they would think about gambling on CP3.
Could Gallo be under Houston radar in a 3 team deal? Looks unlikely to me (salary doesn't match and not sure he would be a good fit there).

I find it hard to believe any team that thinks they have a chance at a championship wouldn't be interested in CP3. The problem is what salaries. I can't find any way for Denver to add CP3 that doesn't put them in the tax not only this year, but likely for several years. Denver is a team that needs a trade where they give up 2-3 of their good players for a great player, but I don't think CP3's contract works for them.

Agreed. I just don’t think they have any overwhelmingly attractive assets that they would be able to move for a decent return that would make them better. I just can’t think of any.
CP3 at least gives them a seasoned floor general that gives them a second legitimate and trusted ball-handler.
One could argue that netting CP3 could give them their best ever shot at a ship.

Rudy Gay would be an interesting add. Wonder what it would take.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I feel like I'd want more than a first from Miami for this.

I don't have any interest in devaluing the picks we own and I'm sure Miami doesn't want to give up any players on their rookie contracts. Seems like a waste of time, imo.

HAHA - They are only at $135 w/ Nene's contract not going to guarantee. I think the reason for wanting to deal Capela is to add additional guys at a lower cost.
How great would it be to play the Rockets in the first round of the playoffs this year?

A nice young player on a rookie contract would be ideal.

I'm not sure I trust Zach Lowe when it comes to trade rumors though. And we all know that OKC front office works in silence so won't happen

NBA Central retweets basically everything. Westbrook to Miami was a lock for them.
