Kobe Bryant Discussion, Part Two

If Kobe was as hated as you described People would be celebrating now, if someone strongly despised by the public will never be president, explain this.

Some people are celebrating now but being respectful about it because the tragedy also involved innocent people. But some of Kobe's memorials have been defaced with RAPIST tags and there has obviously been a lot of news surrounding people being vocal about Kobe's forgotten rape apology.

Trump was one of the longest shots in history that came out of nowhere based on strange circumstances and a lot of outside help. Kobe would've been an even longer shot. Mike Tyson would've had a similar chance at the presidency. Even Michael Jordan at his peak wouldn't have been a realistic presidential candidate and everybody loved him universally.

The fact that we're even talking about this - Kobe Bryant as President - is patently absurd, by the way.

WTF? Do you know anything about the current President? The worst you could say about Kobe doesn't come close to what you could say about Trump. Bringing up the 2003 rape allegation? Trump has been accused of rape as well as sexual assault by over 20 women. narcissist? Nothing close to what we are seeing in the White House now. Not liked? Literally the whole basketball and sports world, not to mention the whole world is mourning Kobe's death. When Trump goes, you honestly believe there will be this type of positivity towards him? Of course not, he is hateful manbaby. Not liked by teammates? The vast majority of Kobe's teammates always had positive things to say about him. Even the ones who had issues with him are now mourning him. Shaq was in tears mourning him. Hell even Smush Parker went on TMZ to say he was wrong and was sad about Kobe's death and has shared positive stories on instagram.

Kobe absolutely could have been President! He is a far superior human than the lying devoid of character clown we currently have as President. Kobe didn't create a scam university that he was forced to pay a 25 million settlement for defrauding people over. We'll take Kobe anyday.

It has been explained many times by greater mods than I that this kind of political discussion has no place on the General Board. Head on over to the Current Affairs Board and go nuts. Any continuation of this conversation on the general baord will result in further warnings/strikes.

And of course, a moving speech by LeBron James: "Tonight, we celebrate the kid that came here at 18 years of age, retired at 38 and became probably the best dad we've seen over the past three years, man."

I remember watching a Youtube video comparing MJ and Kobe, primarily the fact that MJ could easily palm the ball while doing ball fakes, change of directions, etc. while Kobe could not. While there are other differences between the 2, I think if Kobe did have same sized hands as MJ it would have made a significant difference for him. What you guys think?

(I've always been of the opinion that MJ was the GOAT, and Kobe around Top-10 level.)

I remember watching a Youtube video comparing MJ and Kobe, primarily the fact that MJ could easily palm the ball while doing ball fakes, change of directions, etc. while Kobe could not. While there are other differences between the 2, I think if Kobe did have same sized hands as MJ it would have made a significant difference for him. What you guys think?

There's an interview with Kobe where he talks about this, he said he did hand strengthening exercises to help with ball grip and that if his hands were the same size he'd just go in and dunk the ball everytime.

It could make a difference. But there are a lot of hall of famers that couldn't palm the ball (Charles Barkley, for example) so it's not required for greatness.

On the other hand, some regular 5'10 manlets can palm a basketball and they're about as close to making it to the NBA as Lizzo.

Yeah true. I don't want to overemphasize it or anything, but it's interesting to compare the 2 in that way since they are both HOF all-around scorers. They were both blessed with great physical tools overall, and both maxed out their physical gifts with their hard work and will to win.

Alex Jones tole me that a group of gay frogs hid under the pilots seat and using telepathic signals the shapeshifting interdimensional child molester elite signaled for them to pounce on the pilot, humping his face with all their gayness and distracting him from his flight path.
