Looks like Travis plan is starting to fall in place. This is huge for future years. We got our rim protection and anchor on defense finally.

Honestly would have loved to have snuck Beasley outta Denver.

Hawks got away with highway robbery here though. You love to see it.

We totally ripped Houston's face off.

Travis Schlenk is building a championship roster here, and this trade just accelerated our timeline by a season or two.

We’re probably done for the week right? Any other moves to watch for?

Amazing fit for you guys, and Capela will be a great mentor for Bruno Fernando. I think Capela’s father is also from Angola

How do Hawks fans see the Capela/Collins fit?

I know Collins can stretch the floor but I'm wondering how much small ball 5 Collins misses for Capela to get his minutes?

Collins is trash as a small ball 5. While both are PnR scorers, John is an elite movement big. Having another like Capela who actually sets good screens will do wonders for John. He will help the rooks the most

Highway robbery... NBA needs to approve this quickly before Houston realizes what Schlenk just did to them!

That's the big question, Buddy.

Capela and Collins are both most effective inside as rim runners/screeners/offensive rebounders. Can they both share the floor in crunch time?
Spoiler:
There are questions concerning Capela’s potential fit alongside John Collins but, for now, they seem to be at least somewhat overblown. It should be noted that the two big men will occasionally be in each other’s air space, with Collins also serving as an impressive roll threat and dive man. With that out of the way, Collins’ improvement as a floor spacer, particularly in the area of three-point shooting from the corners, should bring optimism when it comes to fit. There will be plenty of time for litigation on whether the frontcourt partnership is ideal for the long term but, in the moment, it doesn’t project to be a problem for the Hawks, and the team can now deploy a big-time lob threat for the vast majority of the game by staggering Capela and Collins.
Hawks -- SB Nation

We'll need our outside shooters to really keep the middle of the floor unpacked for us moving forward.

Sounds like Houston was most interested in avoiding the luxury tax bill. Glad we were in position to take advantage with a clean cap sheet and extra pick(s).

I don't hate the trade, but I wouldn't have done it either, because I assume that the Hawks will just draft Wiseman this summer.

Very risky to assume that we would get the #1 pick.

Love the deal. We get our young center to pair with the core and only had to give up a mediocre first for it.
