This seems unrealistic, but great if it happens.

With the Rockets having around 13 million that they can take back in salary on the trade, I think Lance Jr would be really interesting at center for Hou. Hou has a 2022 1st they can still trade.

Nance unless he leaves in fa sometime is 99% a lifer.
TT is even more of a necessary target for Houston now that they only got the small ball bell at the 5.
I'm pretty sure the extra wiggle room Houston got from unloading capella can be used in combination with less $ coming back to CLE along with draft assets if it happens today.
Of course there's Baynes and Dedmon out there but Baynes is going to require Houston to give up more than a couple 2nds

The Cavs really like Nance. They gave up a first to get him. But you can have Henson for that pick.

We can send back a second or two.

Henson might actually be worth a late first to a contender but yeah a young player with upside is the more likely value theyd want to move him

Come on, guys... All Clint got was a mid 1st.

You'd be more likely to have send to picks to move Henson then to receive any, he has zero to negative value at 9 mill (and yes I know he's expiring).

The only way to get value out of a player / contract like that is to take bad a bad contract. At that point you could get a pick, but the pick would be for the salary dump, not Henson as a player.

He has some of the best advanced numbers on the team and he's averaging 1.5 blocks in less than 14 mpg. We're good keeping him.

Not that you needed to be some type of soothsayer to figure out what was going on, but this pretty much confirms what I've been saying.

There's always chance that TT is bluffing, but it sure seems like that dude is all about the money. I suspect that if there's any chance, any chance at all, that Klutch can find a S&T for him this summer over the MLE, he's taking it.

just throwing this out there as a shocker type move for both rosters:https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/7286093
cavs send Love and Garland to ORL along with Cavs 2020 first top 2 protected otherwise becomes unprotected in 2021 for Gordon and Fultz and the draft rights to injured Chuma Okeke.

Markannen wants out, great KLove replacement player
https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/7286171
Delly or Henson's expiring and CLE 2020 first if falls between 6-10 otherwise top 5 protected in 21 , top 1 protection in 22 then unprotected for
Markannen,Dunn and CHI 21 2nd

maybe if we are lucky they found a home for TT or flipped DRE but it hasn't been reported. however the odds we flipped DRE at this point seems unlikely so holding out that maybe TT got moved for a typewriter

heres a couple summer trade ideas if they decide to part with Darius Garland now that Sexton is clearly capable of reaching a high ceiling as a pg.
post draft deal if Det misses out on upper tier pg prospects in draft:
https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/7290022
DG for Sekou and KT both really nice defenders with upside esp Sekou.
not even sure DG has done enough for Detroit to have any interest but they might given they need a pg

draft day deal:
https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/7290025
This one sends DG to Spurs who will make him earn it and maybe salvage his career
The cavs get a decent upside off guard in Johnson that fits better next to Sexton and take a flier or just waive lyles and get Spurs 2020 2nd that will be higher than usual spurs 2nds.
Now I am not suggesting they should trade him now, but if they decide to stop tanking he will be coming off the bench much of next season at the rate Sexton is going right now.
I dont know if they have any aspirations to try Garland off ball, but I can't see it working out.
