Who do we need?

Some two way PF who can replace Horford in our starting unit when he’s struggling. Somebody like one of the Morris twins.

Anyway, I guess the idea is to have a Korkmaz with better defense with one of Robinson or Burk, to replace Al with the starting unit.

Because guys likes to challenge Kork’s defense while Thybulle is a russian roulette on defense

Meh trade. Simmons could be putting up 25/8/9 on a bad gsw team. Don’t put too much on these guys scoring averages for this season.

Solid trade for role bench players who are better than what we have right now. And we gave up only 2nd round picks (which I don't really care for).

We still have Bolden/Smith/Scott/Burke/Neto dispensable. Unless we are ready to face the truth and trade Harris.

I don't mind the trade. I've liked Burks for a while now, but dude has always had injury issues. Think he'd actually slot in nice at our starting SG spot. Or as a gunner off the bench.

I mean that's alright considering that we have no assets. Idk what people was expecting, relying on the buyout market is less than ideal with both LA teams chasing the ring. One one was coming here.

The way Brett Brown coaches this deal won't matter. The biggest problem with the spacing issue is Simmons at PG and this trade does nothing to fix that. Burks will be handicapped because either he'll have to force feed Embiid or defer to Simmons because Brown has to stagger Joel and Ben mins because he can't find a way to work. And Robinson isn't that much more of a threat from 3pt range than Korkmaz or Thybelle. This is a band aid on a bullet wound at best and a setback to player continuity at worst.

I’m legitimately surprised that Burks was acquired for this price. Not a bad trade for Brand. He should, once again, consider trading Richardson while his perceived value is high.especially because we have about 36 SGs on the active roster.

I don’t want to get too hyped about Alec burks but I’ve followed his career a bit and if it wasn’t for his injuries he’d be a solid starter in this league.
It looks like he’s healthy this year and has improved his 3 Pt shooting which exactly what we need from a 2 guard.
Glen Robinson the 3rd I feel like we should’ve never let go in the first place.
Hopefully they keep playing like they have been this year and contribute so well that we give them a multi year deal.

Agreed, would you trade Jrich for Marcus Morris? That way we can move Horford to the bench and start him with burks alongside Ben.

Id probably aim higher since he possesses a valuable skill with the allure of his upside as a ball handler. Not to mention he’ll be packaged with multiple players likely.

Getting both guys is honestly a bit confusing. This indicates to me that the minutes we have just been giving to Shake are going to disappear, and that's sad to me because Shake is on a great contract and was just starting to show what he can do.

I mean...

Simmons
Embiid
Horford
Harris
Richardson
Burcs
Thybulle
GR3
Korkmaz

There's a 9 man rotation. All 4 guys off the bench are 6'5-6'7. I'm highly confused.

Waiting for corresponding moves.

Wouldn't be surprised if Korkmaz was traded with Neto and Zhaire at this point.

Solid depth that will make open 3’s and aren’t bad ball handlers...and we can’t develop draft picks anyway so the 2nd rounders are pretty irrelevant. Nothing wrong with this move...is it going to move the needle in the playoffs tho? Most likely not

i wanted derrick rose and dario saric. alec burks and glen robinson shoot better and cost us far less.

with okc pick coming through plus nyk and atl 2nds, i hope we got one more in us. upgrade on mike scott. a morris brother? shishi? otherwise, i think bolden and burke are out. had high hopes for bolden. but hasn't panned out so far.

no picks given for butler, mia21 was never going to be a lottery pick, thybulle was worth giving up a 2nd, let's see what this do.

To me it just signals that they are leaning into Simmons at PF more. Biid, Al, Simmons, and Harris will play the majority of the minutes at the 4 and 5 with Pelle/KOQ as the emergency injury/foul backup. That’s plenty of big man depth imo.

The only downside I see is this will stop any development progress Shake was making by getting meaningful mins. Korkmaz was already playing too much, and I’m good if I never see Neto in a game again

Burks is a capable 6th man level player. Underrated scorer.

Robinson shooting 40% from deep (38% for his career).

Good adds.... now who goes? Is this the end for Jonah 'the ball is hot lava' Bolden?

Burks makes a lot of sense if he doesn't get hurt, he can create his own shot and has size, I think GRIII is not really better than Korkmaz and Ennis, he is another option but I'd not be surprised if he straight up sucks

This.

I see Alec and Robinson as wings.

Still need a guard.
