You can't have a perfect roster with every player earning exactly what they 'deserve'.
Iggy is 36 years old, already borderline unplayable in the regular season, and there's a good chance this could be the year he's finally too old to make an impact in the playoffs either. $15 mil/year is insanity given the circumstances.
$15 mil is just a number... what are the Heat losing by adding Igoudala?

Is he overrated? I think most people have him properly rated: young, good defensively, but that's about it so far. He is only 23.

Well, to people thinking its a bad trade, he is. I don't know the details of the trade, but if its iggy for winslow straight up, its a good trade. Plus they get the team option, which gives them flexibility.

To be fair, that was an 11 game sample size, but using his bigger sample sizes of his career and last season, he is still not an efficient player, but he was not a negative player and therefore not addition by subtraction. Defense does matter and he is a very positive defensive player and even offensively, while he has his limitations, since he also gives you ball handling and passing and has not been a specifically high usage shooter at his low efficiency, he has not been a negative offensive player in recent seasons.
Iguodala assuming no age related regression is the better player though, but who knows with age related regression, it can come about very quickly.

Re: Trade Targets
My contacts in Miami are very happy to have moved on from Winslow and onto this deal. Not only because of Iggy, but it sure as hell looks like Gallo is coming too.
And I quote, "this is a good thing."

Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Re: Trade Targets
I'm just happy that Iggy went to the East Conference instead of Lakers. He was the ultimate Clipper killer for like last 5 years.

QRich3: You either learn to behave like an adult person or you'll last little in here.

Facts don't care about your feelings.
Anyway back to the topic, Myles Turner or Aaron Baynes would be ideal

You do need to care about people's feelings here though, and many are getting annoyed by your prepubescent outbursts. I've warned you repeatedly about this, you can have whatever opinion about the coach or the players, but you need to express it with poise and respect. We like to let this place pretty much moderate itself, and every time you make an appearance you make that impossible. So you either try to read the mood in here and match it, or we'll be forced to start handing warnings and suspensions, which is something we've barely ever done. Your choice.

Re: Trade Targets
The Iguodala trade was indeed a bit weird. I'm happy cause I didn't want him ending up on the Lakers after being waived, and I didn't want us to pay anything for him either. But paying Winslow and giving him a $30M contract that starts at age 37 is way too expensive for me, even with the team option. Unless the trade expands today and getting Winslow means the Grizzlies pay some of the price for the Heat getting Gallinari, then it'd make a little more sense.
I do like the Heat getting stronger though, in case we manage to get to the finals I want more teams giving the Bucks a fight. Not to put the cart before the horses, but I would not like one bit to face a rested Bucks team that just coasted through the East.

Re: Trade Targets
If the clippers can’t get Marcus Morris maybe they should try Markieff. I know he isn’t as good as Marcus but he could be acquired for less- I don’t think the talent gap is that wide

Still have a gut feeling that the front office will trade for someone nobody's even talking about.

Re: Trade Targets
I can see them standing pat, and I think I'm ok with it. Not a fan of rushing a bad win-now trade just because we're in contending mode. That's how it used to work in the past, but not now. If there's nothing interesting on the market, just roll with what we have, which if healthy could be good enough.
