Unfortunately, don't think so.

I think it will end up being remove some protection on 2023 pick and getting another one if Gallo and Miami agrees on a extension.

Think Sam should go for it and ask for Herro or no trade but... :banghead: :banghead:

I really enjoy watching this team because they have 4 players capable of carrying the team to a close victory and some young talent with promise (dort, bazley)

If the rumor is true, then losing Gallo after playing themselves into a top 5 or 6 team in the west sucks

From Miami’s perspective, having Herro on a rookie contract for 2021 free agency is huge. I don’t think there is anyways we get him.

I’ve enjoyed them too. I look at it like maybe we can have a team like this any sustain it 5-7 years. We’ve been very fortunate with two older, injury prone players.

So going from Miami's 1st round pick to Oklahoma City (via L.A. Clippers) protected for selections 1-14 in 2023, 1-14 in 2024 and 1-14 in 2025 and unprotected in 2026

To Miami's 1st round pick unprotected in 2023 & Miami's 1st round pick unprotected in 2025. Plus maybe a couple of pick swaps.

Is that really worth blowing up this season for a 2025 first? Eh. I rather keep Gallo and see what he can fetch on the open market. It has to be more than a 2025 first. Its Herro or bust. Herro would be worth moving Gallo, if hes not in the deal then I don't see why Sam does it.

I don't really like it to be honest but sounds like best case scenario :(

As previously said, I would have offered Gallo, Miami 2021 FRP (and maybe a bit more value) for Herro and scrubs.

But Miami won't bite and they know Presti like picks...

How many times has the media reported a potential OKC deal that actually turned out? Could just be using them for leverage

He is as old as Schroder and Adams. I think they need to get guys around Sahi's age. Herro fits that bill.

So true. Remember when we all thought Brook Lopez was coming to town then next thing we know Enes Kanter got shipped to OKC.

I know but they will not trade Herro sadly for us, If we can get Herro instead of Duncan is perfect but i will pick Duncan instead of Dion or JJ or Meyers

If you were Miami would you trade Herro for Gallo? I think that’s a pretty simple answer. The only way to get Herro would be sending assets with Gallo.

Thunder have zero reason to move Gallo just to move him

So if Hill comes back to OKC in the Miami deal we could re-rout him and Roberson somewhere for something. They would be able to take back about $19 million.

No. But, if I am OKC why am I bending over backwards to add a 2025 first when I can probably get a better one in the off season.

The sign and trade is just speculation at this point. I don’t see them bending over backwards right now. I believe the front office is going to make what they believe to be the best deal available.
