We don’t know how it will turn out but we sure as hell know the direction. Just look at BVW.

These guys don’t take a huge pay cut (he will make less as a president then an agent) to sit around and build and wait. They want results.


Quick results will come with trading picks for guys they know. Find CAA clients and expect trades. It’s obvious.

I really don't like what it looks like we're doing, but if the plan is to get a good GM to do what Rose wants in a smart way, it could work

Honestly I dont know how to feel about this.

Yes he checks off the box in terms of future free agency as he is well known in player circles.

But what about drafting ability? Trade negotiations? Management? Attention to personnel? Player Development?

We are constantly put in a position where we have to speculate how our front office will do instead of hiring someone with a proven track record that checks all the boxes...

This abusive relationship continues...?

why wouldn't he have these skills or understanding of them given his role? i think it's been his job for a long time to know who is good at what, communicating, delegating...

he probably knows more about what's going on than a lot of folks we consider.

my concern would be how this translates to the role of POBO as a leader of an individual franchise in general.

I’m not totally against the former agent strategy. It kinda makes sense when you think about it since a heavy portion of President job is PR and networking. With this arrangement though you especially need a strong #2 guy. Is that Perry? I haven’t been too impressed with Perry’s ability to build rosters and fit pieces together.
