I kinda like this for GSW. Playing on that team should help Wiggins be useful. MIN will somehow "suprisingly" not make the playoffs next year, and hand over a lotto pick.

Helps that I'm not a huge DLo fan, but they basically turned KD leaving into a top-3 protected pick from a trash team and a bad contract with potential for being a really useful player.

Maybe I'm being biased, but this doesn't seem like a very good deal for Miami.

One high pick seems like reasonable value, unless you think GSW thinks Wiggins has a bad contract.

I wonder if Ainge found out they were going to cut Burke for Burks and said yeah I will pick up that guy for free.

Sounds like ainge, a 6foot point guard, ideal candidate to solve the backup sf role.

D-Lo never fit GSW.

Gonna be interesting when Curry comes back and they start to win again. They may end up with a mediocre draft pick. But tough to hold a guy like that out.

The season will be mostly over by the time he comes back, last I saw was late March. 10ish games to get some run in but not really affect the record too much.

There are a few 2nd-round picks who hit really big, like Jokic or Marc Gasol (who was a key trade piece for the team that first drafted him). Ainge hasn't had one of those. But BBD, Powe, Semi and so on give him a decent 2nd-round track record even so.

I do agree that those successes haven't been all that important ... and by the way, Ainge has been pretty free to trade his 2nd-round picks away.

That is one of the worst track records in the league, he got that in over 15 years, and it's not like asking to get an all-star with second rounds, just good bench players, or to get a starter in over 15 years like most teams do.

They're doing this to have more defenders against forwards such as Giannis, Tatum, Brown, Siakam and, they hope, those on the California teams as well.

Interesting that Winslow (who I gather is injured) is on the move. He's paid $13 million/year now, though -- with 0% annual increases -- so it would be complicated to try to snag him in trade at exactly this time. Besides, Memphis probably wants to see what they have in him.

Christian Wood seems to make sense, and we've been linked to him to the point that I'd guess he's the move.
