DLo should fire his agent. He was 100% signed to be moved, which everyone knew. Now he’s in a place he had little to no say over.

I like the fit with Minnesota however. I also oddly think Wiggins might prosper with GS.

Honestly, face value it looks bad for the Warriors, but i'm willing to bet they are going to try and build up Wiggins value to trade him later on.

I made a thread back in oct/nov about how this should/would happen and everyone said it was stupid.

So Wiggins is the new Iggy?

It might be time to send Myers out to pasture.

This trade is abysmal for the Warriors.
It's like the worst case scenario for a D'lo trade.

not really if you look at the fact that Wiggins started the season really better than any other season and showed what he can do when motivated. His problem has always been an unwillingness to play to the last whistle when he doesn't have faith the team around him can win it all.

Exactly. They must be really high on Beasley and the midling draft pick they got out of the deal?

At least Wiggins could play D - and hasn't been terrible on D this year - although, I don't know the whole story here.

Wiggins has upside on both ends of the floor. good trade for the Warriors. they are missing that athleticism.

That really is the question here. Maybe they really wanted that Atlanta pick and have flushed this season, which makes at least the only sense.

I think the trade makes a ton of sense for both sides. The Warriors get a guy that will fit there roster better than Russell did, and he still has a bunch of untapped potential. The Warriors are probably the best team to get that out of him. They also get a pick, which should be a pretty decent one next year. The Russell contract was bad, maybe not quite as bad as the Wiggins one, but it's close and he didn't fit their roster, where as Wiggins can slide into the poor mans Durant role that the rest of the team is already used to playing with.

For the Wolves, they got the guy theyve wanted for a while now. Keeps KAT happy, gets them a good scoring guard that can play both positions, and they end the Wiggins experiment before getting any further into his bad contract.

Swap?! lol

Nah PHX would say give your pick (period), no swap.

it is because they gave their 2021 pick to gsw.

Holy **** so true.

I went from being depressed we gave away Covington for Denver depth players, to ecstatic thet we get DLO simply for Wiggins??? And we get to keep 2020 prolly top 4 pick?

Holy hell Rosas, not to be greedy but couldn't you waited just a day to keep Roco lol.

I guess this means our starting SF is Culver? What positional need will we try to draft in coming draft now that we have the PG of the future?

If he plays well, he helps them. If he ever gets his defense up, him and Klay could be really scary and then you have Steph and Dray going up against the Clippers next year.

As you mention, if he builds up his value and there's a trade for a star, his contract works too.
