Exactly. We can draft 3 more guys and let 3 of the guys we've drafted in the last couple years go but that hasn't worked so far. I'd rather take the chance on seeing what we could trade them for. It doesn't necessarily have to be Bertans but what other value could we get?

If absolutely nothing else, Poirier and Green are easy waives.

But things will happen between now and then. The landscape with shift.

Unless they've loosened it up, they're supposed to at least be on the phone with the league office by 3. The C's comms department usually gives whatever summary announcement right as the deadline passes.

I understand he shouldn't be the centerpiece of a deal anymore. But if we go after Bertans I would like to add IT to the deal.

I get he has been washed for the past couple seasons but you're all crazy if you don't believe in magic. IT was magical in Boston. IDK why, IDK how. But somehow he will come back and score like 30 off the bench in the playoffs. I know. It sounds crazy. But it will happen :lol:
