Re: Trade Targets
my issue with IT is he's an absolutely atrocious defender. and so is lou williams. and shamet is a poor defender as well. i really don't like him on the team, especially knowing doc is going to try to force him into lineups.
think a 3-guard lineup of shamet/lou/IT sounds fun? i sure don't.

Re: Trade Targets
He's not a trezz believer. He doesn't space the floor. Which I can't really argue with. We need a center that can stretch the floor imo.
I believe we have two backup centers and no true center. I believe it won't show up in the Lakers series but against the bucks against the nuggets, it will.

Not unless we upgrade the bench defense during buyout season.

Re: Trade Targets
This Morris/IT trade benefits us across the board. Here are some things we can expect:
1. Mann and Kabengele will be G league for rest of the year. They will no longer be needed on the active roster.
2. Patrick Patterson no longer needs to get on the court
3. Harrell will actually be able to get rest in the 2nd half. Morris should be able to play alongside Zu and Harrell. Morris is playing 10 minutes more per game now than Harkless played.
4. Lou will be well rested for 4th quarter closeouts
5. Mac will be spending a lot of time next to PP. Mac will be there to spell Beverley.
A line-up of Lou and IT could be dangerous when on the court with PG, Kawhi and Morris for short stints. NEVER want to see a line-up that has Lou, IT and Harrell unless we are down 30.

I think they're going to waive him. He's just part of the trade without giving up Mann and whatever. If collison decided to be a clipper, I.T. will be waived.nickhx2 wrote:my issue with IT is he's an absolutely atrocious defender. and so is lou williams. and shamet is a poor defender as well. i really don't like him on the team, especially knowing doc is going to try to force him into lineups.

Re: Trade Targets
Jerome was a 28% three point shooter. IT is 41%.

I'm not a fan of IT being on the team either but the trade allow us to pick up Morris without giving up young prospects which q was concerned in the first place. Fi and Mann remain

The assumption being that IT is going to play with the 2's.
What if instead he run's with the 1's, freeing up Pat Bev to run with the 2's to bolster their D.
What if instead Lou plays with the 1s and IT takes Lou's spot on then bench and PB plays with him?

Re: Trade Targets
Getting Collison and Thompson would be a very successful buyout season for us. I think those guys both might be that rare type of Webber/PJ/Birdman signing that makes an impact when it matters.

Really impressed Mann and Fi were not involved.
When the lakers announced Kuzma was not on the table the Knicks lost major leverage

Makes no sense to waive him. He can score, give Lou rest and his contract ends at the end of the year.
Return to Los Angeles Clippers
