Only a few more hours now. Hoping we trade Marvin for an asset and do nothing else unless someone wants Biz or MKG. This draft class is looking weak and I'd rather take a shot at the blue chips.

A bullet was dodged. Now, one of those teams will win the lottery while we'll tank and pick eighth.

Wiggins is another one. Can't believe Minny is only sending a protected first even if its for 2021

Damn, Boston looking to get a 4/5 and to unload a young fellow, screams Cody Z. all the way.. Reunite the Cody/Kemba connection and send some most welcome picks here Boston...

So, we did nothing?
Glad we didnt trade for Drummond, Love or Wiggins but can't we at least get a second rounder for Marv or something? Hopefully a late trade goes down

The smartest move most of the time is no move.

Seems like we have been active at the trade deadline every single year.

Other teams have to be willing to give up assets while also sending back expiring contracts to for said players. MKG virtually has no value. Marvin does a little, and Im sure if a team was going to send a matching expiring and a 2nd rounder for him we would have accepted.

Looks like nobody wanted to give up anything for Marvin or MJ just wanted some cash because he will likely be bought out.

Maybe Marv wants to stay here after this contract on a cheaper deal and MJ respects him enough to keep him around. Otherwise, it is pretty confounding that we couldn't get anything for him, Biyombo, MKG, Cody or Bacon. So many bad contracts........ugh

Maybe the offers were not good enough.

Look at it this way,
What if we had traded Marv for a 2nd to a playoff team? Well that pick is mid to late 2nd round

Or, we let Marv, MKG, and Biz all expire at seasons end giving us lots of cap space. Then a team comes calling wanting to dump a 1-2 year big contract, because they want cap space to sign a free agent. That team offers a 1st round pick to take that contract.

Getting any 1st round pick is obviously better than a mid to late 2nd

Also shows how off we can be in regards to trade value. Who would have thought Drummond would be traded for cap space only.

This latter part is 100% my hopes and dreams.

We snag our franchise guy with hopefully a top-3 pick this draft year. Then, take on a bloated contract for a year and gain a first in '21. Then, move our '21 1st, the acquired '21 1st, Rozier and something else (maybe a future first) for someone like KAT or Markkanen.

Too many folks (not necessarily on this board) are focusing on playing checkers and not chess. I commend our FO for staying pat today and maximizing our draft position this year and $$ for the summer of '21.

We are in a prolonged tank yet made no move to acquire any assets, opting instead to let all our FAs walk for nothing.

We kicked off this tank by letting our biggest asset hit the UFA market, then "salvaged" his departure by S&T'ing for a PG that doesn't fit our rebuild schedule and in a best case scenario hurts our rebuild and draft position by winning us games.

WTF are we doing?
