Don't care for IT. Don't even think he will see the court. I have no problem with Morris. I think his slightly bigger size and much better shooting ability will benefit the team. Harkless is better defending the 1/2 but he's better defending the 3/4 IMO. He has his attitude issues, but I think that should be fine.

Well, guess we won't have to worry about Isaiah's defense after all.
That's what I thought. I thought he's getting waived.

Makes no sense to waive him. He can score, give Lou rest and his contract ends at the end of the year.

Hard to justify inefficient scoring with poor size and negative defense, very hard to justify playing a guy like that on a championship aspiring team.

It makes perfect sense to waive him. This isn't the Thomas is the Celtics. This is 2020 Thomas

We need a mobile center than can stretch the floor.

Zu isn't agile and trezz isn't a defender.

Don’t really see the point of Collison unless he’s a improved defender. Can’t keep stocking guys that need to shoot

Two roster spots have to wait and see who hits buyouts

Praise be. Hes not a good fit with the Clippers, and has been terrible this year.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Yeah I think it’s best that we don’t keep him. Two guys just been waived in Burke and Frazier that I’d rather have than IT.

Not great that we had to salary dump a lottery pick a year and a half into his career though

Can think of it as Jerome was sacrificed so Mann and Kabengele could stay

IT can take Robinson's minutes for now. If a buyout option comes along later, they could still dump him. At least, keep him around until he can't be picked up on a playoff roster. They guy can still hit the 3.

Dump him. We don't have a guard issue and the guys need reps together.

Not unless we upgrade the bench defense during buyout season.

Two open roster spots have to believe defense and playmaking will be the goal

Why dump him? We have an open roster spot without dumping him. Kick the tires on him and see what he has. If you cut him and then Lou gets hurt, you can't go get him. The guy has playoff experience. He could allow Lou to take the night off against bottom feeder teams.

Two Spots Open: One Will Be a Playmaker

Post#217 » by TrueLAfan » Thu Feb 6, 2020 9:14 pm

So who's around for us to get as a guy that can run the offense for 10-15 mpg?

Trey Burke: Better shooting, worse defending than Shabazz Napier, so about equal in overall value. Career backup sort of guy--which is kinda what we need. So he’d help. He’s kind of who I’m pushing for here.

Tim Frazier; a level below Burke.

Darren Collison: The best we could do. Probably. In some ways, I’d actually rather have Burke than Darren Collison. Probably not a popular opinion, but Collison is … a little bit of a drama guy. Not the kind of locker room we’ve been pushing. If he signs, good for us--hope he's in shape and doesn't mind being a 10-15 mpg player.

Do you really want to see a Lou/Isaiah lineup that badly? Because that's what would inevitably happen with Doc and we'd have to watch some of the worst "defense" imaginable.

No, I don't want to see a Lou/IT line-up in the 2nd unit. I can see a team that can have Lou/IT level scoring on the court for the majority of games. IT certainly isn't a defender, but then neither is Lou. IT can put the ball in the basket though and is on a very cheap contract. You don't dump him without seeing if he can fit into the system.
