The season ticket holder event last night was AMAZING!!!!

As noted above the only players not there was Giannis, Korver, and Sterling. Bucks rented out the whole Whirleyball building. Most of the players were bowling and you would get in a line to bowl a frame with them, talk and take some pictures. The lines moved pretty quickly so you could get back in if you wanted.

I got to bowl with: PC, Middleton, and Bender. Also got to chat and take a pic with Thanasis at the end. All players were extremely sociable and looked like they were having fun.

The food was very good: Buffalo chicken sandwiches, pizza, burgers, Caesar salad (mmmmmmm) mini tacos, pretzel bites, cookies, and a lot more.

As far as the games....Whirleyball is tons of fun! First time doing it and I could do that all day! Being in a little bumper car and zipping around was pretty cool. I did not see any of the players doing whirlyball but saw Ersan in the laser tag area with his kid.

One thing is for sure the bucks have been much better with the events they have put on this year and last.

Hope they do this again next year!

That's really cool. Was it a prize package? I'm not sure if I missed it or if you had to qualify?

It was one of the membership benefits you had to select with your points. The benefit was "Invvites to Member only Events" 250 points.

Unbelievable.. I emailed my ticket rep because i wanted to see how much my tickets were going up next year (i signed a two year plan and part of the incentive is that they dont go up or they go up very little in year 2).. he told me that he has me down for a 1 year plan. Of course he does.

I asked if he could fix it. If he doesn't, i'm walking. Prices are already too high.

Now I wish I would've went. It's just always risky for me driving almost 2 hours on week night not knowing if the event is gonna be good or lame.

You guys do not have me very excited in advance of receiving my ST renewal invoice February 15.

I bailed this year ahead of my invoice, I am curious what my increase would have been. The autorenewal is insane, no idea why they need an extra 30 days or so to figure out what the price will be. Personally, I'm just burned out driving, having gone to every game for the past 10 years from an hour or so away. While I agree with the sentiment that prices were going to go up, with the new arena, and the teams success, I don't necessarily agree that the market is really bearing that out on the secondary market. Non premium games I have been below cost on the ones I have sold, but I definitely agree the Lakers fell into the 190 dollar uppers category. I could live with continued rising costs and go less frequently if I renewed but selling them has not proved easy for me at least in the lower bowl. Hopefully I can take the savings from not paying for next year and just attend every playoff game all the way to the championship, retire on top.

I'm kinda nearing this as well. Before kids I used to drive down to more games and sth events, but at their ages the interest level is not there (at least not yet), school starting, etc. And if they do get into it, im going to need more than 2 tickets anyway. Even for me the 100 mile week night drive is getting less appealing. At this point I just combine games and sit in lower level for a couple and then sell rest off to friends/secondary. It's been fine b/c there has been a market but who knows when that will level off. I think the secondary market will slowly taper off even if we keep winning/Giannis stays. There will be a point where people are just gonna save money for playoff games and a few marquee regular season games. Maybe I'm just trying to talk myself into not renewing.

just finished paying of this season's payments in december so i haven't gotten anything for next season yet.

I kinda want to bail but man after sticking through so many **** seasons be disappointing to give them up now. And I think that is where they know they have a person.

I don't blame you at all for this reasoning. I bailed this summer and I couldn't be happier for it. Just not worth the trouble for me. I had ~~12 games as part of a STH group, plus as many playoff games as I wanted, but the ticket office is just so much trouble to deal with I said **** it. I've been to 3 games this year in much better seats and will end up going to 10 or 12 including playoffs and spending less money.

That season ticket office can **** off.

Was there any effort on their end to keep you on board? If not, that would be disappointing to be there that long and just be dismissed b/c now they have all of this interest.

I never had any contact with them directly, I was just in the group. But yeah, the guy who actually bought the tickets was contacted many times to try to get us back. He basically told them last year that if they didn't give us actual seats and were going to follow through with bouncing us all around the arena that we were not renewing. And he meant it. They didn't offer us anything special to stay though, which didn't surprise any of us. They treated us like any other STH that they were trying to renew.

Despite my regular season seats actually going down $1 each this season, as expected playoff tickets are way more than last year.

Round 1: 75% increase over last season (82% increase from my regular season rate)
Round 2: 79% increase over last season (156% increase from regular season)
Round 3: 98% increase over last season (296% increase from regular season)
Finals: 227% increase over last season (809% increase from regular season)

Also, while they are significantly higher, they are still only about half the price of what I got on StubHub/Ticketmaster during last year's playoffs, so there will still be some $ to be made on any games that can't be attended.

Agreed. I think 1st round may be tough sell or not much to gain, but the rest will be fine.

With said, I dont think I'm going to splurge buying extra strips...if even offered.

Right. If they are even offered it will be the same BS like the regular season. Offer to buy extra strips at the general public rate without fees

Here's how my tickets increased for this postseason:

Round 1: 39% increase over last season (44% increase from my regular season rate)
Round 2: 41% increase over last season (104% increase from regular season)
Conference Finals: 55% increase over last season (215% increase from regular season)
Finals: 187% increase over last season (719% increase from regular season)

Some added notes are that my regular season price also was down $1 per game from last year, and for the playoffs I have this year's round 1 price equal to last year's round 2 price, and this year's round 2 price equals last year's conference finals price.

2019 Playoffs 2020 Playoffs YOY Increase Total 2020 Playoffs (3seats)
$25.00 $42 120% $504
$33.00 $59 142% $708
$46.00 $91 172% $1,092
$85.00 $209 232% $2,508

Not happy. Not mad. Also doesn't move the needle on me pulling the trigger on season tickets. Saving 15% on playoffs doesn't make up for a 40% increase through throughout the season. Probably not worth it for people to buy/resell. Frees will eat into any profits and only stuck with risk.

The fees these sites charge is unreal. If you have a pipeline of people who want to pay cash season tickets are a no-brainier but selling on stubhub, ticketmaster, etc. sucks.

I cancelled my tickets for next year.

I had an agreement with my initial ticket rep for a two year, price controlled for year two, deal. He bungled it and never sent me the contract that is apparently required for a multi year. So they had me down for one while i wasnt aware that a special contract was required. New rep said there was nothing he could do without a signed contract.

Unfathomable...

I moved downtown to be closer to the arena, they would have had a season ticket holder for a long time.

It almost makes me not give a **** about the team anymore.
