I wasn't excited about this trade deadline myself, but you may get wood during the draft.

I don't agree at all with those saying there weren't moves we could have made that would have made a difference. I think capela or betrans would have made a noticeable worthy difference. Even a guy like burks. I get it though... Since we got nobody we have to convince ourselves that everyone available wasn't worth our trash and picks anyway.
Whatever you have to tell yourself to feel better about not making a move to better the team is fine by me. I'm not mad, but I'm not gonna sit here and act like I'm 100% okay with not making a move to better our contending team. Capela especially I think would have put us right there with the bucks. Instead of right behind them. So I would say that makes a pretty worth while difference.

Depends on the offer.
I know lots love Grant on this board. He looks great against smaller lineups. But gets merc'd when we play large teams.

So if no moves would make a difference to winning a title then why weren't they sellers at deadline? Hording a bunch of trash picks that turn into trash players or Maine All G League teams..

Miami failed to get Gallinari. If they got him they would've been 2nd best in the East.

I will wait until the buyout season is over before I judge this. If the Celtics wind up with say Tristan Thompson and give up no assets to do so, then standing pat made sense.
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."

We have a Buyout Thread already.:
Buyout Thread: If Celtics get a player in buyout market, who would be cut?

Current thread title in GB “Lakers have no chance of beating The Clippers now with Marcus Morris”
Been too tied up today to keep up with the awesome NBA news, so I figured GB was a good starting point to get a quick summary.
I was right.
Also: Hayward survives, suck it, naysayers.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Re: The Trade Thread "Dead" #4: The Fun is OVER...For now.
maybe i'm the only one but i'm lovin that we made no trade. this is a good team, great chemistry, young, nowhere to go but up. i am just not excited about bertans or capela, sorry. i just don't think they move the needle. our team's #1 enemy is health, just gotta get healthy. all else follows.
and i like having lots of picks, i don't care if we don't have room for them now, who gives a f. that's just more chips and flexibility to play with. it'll get sorted out by draft time. and if not we'll have a bunch more rookies. you never know which ones will pan out, it's never bad to bring in a bunch of binkies and see which ones last. i'm not worried about this in the least.
