Call me crazy but Wiggins is better than Barnes. Maybe not by a ton, but he’s better. He can pass and even handle it better than Barnes. His FT shooting is Wiggins’ Achilles heal. To me it’s not his field goal shooting that hurts him most. His efficiency would be pretty damn good if he could shoot 7-10% better from the line. He misses many FTs with the game on the line. But he won’t be in that role in Golden State.

Wiggins is terrible defensively and a much worse shooter.

He’s barely a worse shooter. Same eFG%. From the field they are identical.

And again, Wiggins has better handles and passing than Barnes.

Defensively they play different positions, obviously, and certainly Wiggins has his limitations on D.

But I still think he’s better than Barnes.

And that’s why GSW made the trade.

They could’ve waited until the summer.

Interesting trade for both teams. I thought DLo had a little higher value than this, but I guess last year was his peak value and we really lucked out to get Durant. I'm feeling Harrison Barnes vibes with Wiggins on the Warriors now, they can definitely save his career. KAT and DLo are gonna be the worst defensive team, imagine if they make the big 3 with Booker.

How is he better? Wiggins isn't a better passer than Barnes, only real Wiggins has higher assists totals is because he has the ball in his hands far more. Wiggins handle is pretty basic and is a waste anyways because he's not efficient with the ball. Barnes is the much better shooter and much better defender.

The difference between the two of them is pretty simple in my opinion. Barnes has always been a net neutral to slightly negative impactful player. Wiggins has always been a massive negative impact player. Wiggins isn't a good player anyway you try to slice it up.

DLo putting up stats on a 12-40 team. Warriors haven't been appreciable better in the games that he has played.

Just curious about what you thought about him on the Nets last season?

From what I saw, pretty much the same of what I think of him now. Good player on offense but I have never really liked his defense. On a team like 2008-2010 Celtics if Russell accepted his role and didn't try to do too much on offense and deferred to KG/PP/RA, he would have been fine in place of Rondo. A lot less defense and not as good of a passer but a player who clearly was the much better shooter/scorer than Rondo.

Just saying the Nets made the playoffs last season with Russell as a key component. Put up pretty good stats. Just don't really understand your comment.

next season will be our last season to make playoffs and then the era is over. you hate to see everything to end this way but there is nothing we can do really. a GM can make a great team and also break a great team.

Ya I used to think Myers got a bad rap but some GS fans, but ya I can't overlook it anymore. The dude is looking flat out horrible.

Just look at the difference between what Memphis has been doing with its assets vs how GS has handled theirs. It's embarrassing. I can't believe how badly all of this was handled.

its more than embarrassing...its like he has an IQ of 20...so many things can go wrong with this trade and so little things can go right..you can only gamble if you have winnable odds. he is gambling with zero chances.

Wiggins is one of he worst contacts in the league. Look at the value Memphis got back for Iggy, while GS handed him to Memphis with an unprotected pick for absolutely nothing.

Give me the 2024 1st round pick back plus Winslow, vs that protected pick plus Wiggins horrific contract.

I feel bad for people thinking Wiggins can turn it around. It's what us Wolves fans have thought every year. He simply doesn't care about basketball. He puts up one good game for every 5 bad ones. He's one of the worst defenders in the history of basketball and the stats back it up. He doesn't know how to dribble. He cannot shoot. He is a god awful free throw shooter. He sucks.

okay that 2024 first is completely unprotected, and Iggy is still a + asset, Memphis just turned him into Winslow, so not only did he give Iggy away in a salary dumb to overpay DLo, he gave away that future first to do it

and Wiggins is a complete net negative player, Minny probably needed to include a 1st just to get out of his contract, let alone trade him and a 1st for DLo.

so no, this is not extracting good value AT ALL.
