In July, the Warriors traded Durant and a SRP to get Russell.

They attached a 2024 FRP with Igoudala in a trade to Memphis for nothing just to make that move happen.

Now seven months later, they traded Russell for Andrew Wiggins, a FRP, and SRP.

Granted the picks aren’t an exact wash value wise, but did they essentially trade Igoudala for the privilege of taking on Andrew Wiggins and his albatross of a contract? Any franchise with their run of success will get a pass for years to come, but I know if the Knicks made that series of moves, I’d be killing them.

They're pretty confident in their culture maybe. Minnesota pick is like gold, though, especially if the next draft is as strong as people say.

Good statement win by the Rockets over the Lakers but I want to see them pull this off in a 7-game series.

Glad he said it. Might as well have gone off on Simmons.

Didn’t really watch but looks like Tucker and Sefolosha plus Covington for a short stretch.

Going to have to root for these middling teams to win given our tank busting ways.

Yeah, they definitely upgraded the present value of their draft assets, I just wonder if they’re getting too much credit for what they’re doing. I feel like the people looking at the recent trade are forgetting what they had to give up in the summer to make the DLO signing work (Iggy, FRP, SRP).

Was an upgrade in draft asset value (not number of picks) worth swapping Iggy for Wiggins and his contract? Seems like a massive gamble to me. Wiggins is one of the worst contracts in the league and goes invisible for long stretches. Maybe the Warriors culture can bring out the best in him, but I wonder if they would’ve just been better off letting Durant walk to the Nets rather than engage in this series of moves to get them where they are now.

You'll change your mind when you see them drafting top talent on top of

Curry
Klay
Wiggins
Draymond
Wiseman

They know what they're doing, unlike the Knicks who don't even know who should be doing it.

Interesting list of teams that could've also used Morris or Harkless.
