The perfect Cole Anthony comparison just came to me.
Austin Rivers with defense. Describes him perfectly.

Onyeka Okongwu seriously looks like Anthony Davis. How is this guy not getting #1 pick hype?

Okongwu is more of a less perimeter talented Bam Adebayo to me
He is really good, but he can't pass, may shoot in time, and is 6-9, I love him as an utility piece but not sure I'd buy in high high on him, drafting a big top5 is a bad idea unless we are talking generational no brainer and he isn't that to me

Re: 2019-2020 College BBall/2020 NBA Draft Vol 1
Looking closer into his body, I do agree that he seems shorter than I thought. Also, he doesn't have very wide shoulders like Davis had at Kentucky.
Still though, in this era where teams are ousting centers from their roster, he seems like the perfect big to anchor a modern defense. And he actually has offensive talent to go along with that.
If you are going to take a big near the top of the draft, he seems more worthy than the usual guys that go there.

What to make of Landers Nolley. A lot of the shine wore off for me. His defense disappeared and his game has become incredibly jumper heavy. Still seems like a good passer, though.
A shooting specialist with a little passing and marginal creating?
I definitely think I like Elleby, Nesmith, and Bradley better.

Oh he is the best big by a mile, not disagreeing there, and I'd take him top10 in this class, just not top3-5
Nolley to me is too unathletic/slow, could work as a player cause he is strong and a great shooter, but feels like a guy like Tolliver, kinda just a back-up rotation F that can space it
I like Nesmith way better for sure

i think i like saddiq bey and xavier tillman. i'm a bpa guy, but i can't front on how much i could see bey replacing mike scott and tillman allowing us to move horford. wishful thinking of course. i'd like bey to have better defensive numbers. i'd like tillman to be slimmer. but hey. wanna watch paul reed a couple more times.

Saddiq Bey definitely has game (he and Gillespie are both balling this year for Nova). I fell in love with Dillon Brooks a few drafts ago and Bey is giving me similar vibes. I hope he stays in school and proves his game over a long period of time, though. He was only a 3 star recruit coming out of highschool so NBA teams are going to be wary of him.

Off topic, but the Buffalo logo is incredible.

This dude is kinda interesting. Obviously playing wack competition, but is averaging close to 2 steals and 2 blocks a game. Scoring 27 ppg, 10 rpg, shooting decently from three (36%), has a goofy looking free throw form, but seems to have post moves. Might be more Hakim Warrick than Thad Young at only 6'7.

Nesmith looks like a Sixer.

Yes he does.
Spoiler:
In all seriousness, he'd be a really good get at the end of the 1st round.
6'6" 215 pound G/F that is an outright marksman. He actually has a little creating ability, too. And he's more than capable of being a decent team defender in a strong scheme.

Re: 2019-2020 College BBall/2020 NBA Draft Vol 1
Watching a recording of Davidson/VCU from last night.
Kellan Grady has really improved his ball handling. He's handling the VCU defensive pressure with poise.
I don't know if he shoots it well enough to make up for his lack of defense and passing, but the kid can ball for sure.
I'd love to get him in the 2nd round or bring him in as an undrafted free agent.

OKC pick is ours at #21 as of today. Tankathon has us taking Theo Maledon, a 6'4 international point guard. Seems like we have Vasilije Milic for that role already. Doesnt hurt for league leaders to lose--mlw, den, lal, lac, tor. but we really need no over indiana (31-21), and for charlotte to hold the fort at home against dallas (31-21). still need okc to catch either houston or utah. good loss by houston in phoenix last night.

Theo Maledon
- 6'3" 170 pound 18 year old
- 14.5 ppg per-36
- 76% free throw shooting
- 56% true shooting
- 26.7% assist percentage
- 1.8% steal percentage, 0.7% block percentage
This guy is kinda basic, IMO. Feels like there are several college guards that would be on the board at #21 that are better than him.

I don't like drafting guys from international leagues unless they pop. Like Killian Hayes for instance.

Defensive phenom with point production and shooting ability.
You gotta be chock full of ball handlers to entertain making a selection like him, though. A team like Chicago or Cleveland would make a lot of sense. A team like us should probably pass. Same with Haliburton.
